Howdy from Waxahatchie, Texas!!
My name is Bluebonnet Grace Havens. I am 11 years old. As I just said, I live in Waxahatchie, Texas, with my family: my mama and daddy, as well as my three younger sisters (Cerulean Hope, Rose Petal, and Rainbeaux Marie, who are 9, 7, and 3) and twin baby brothers (River Rhode and Ryder Scarlett; they are almost a year old). Our grandma and grandpa live near us; they come by often to help out Mama and Daddy if it is needed.
I am in the sixth grade at Waverly Elementary School; it's my last year there. In September, I will start middle school; I'll be in the seventh grade. At school, my best friend is Lindsay Jung; she and I have been besties since kindergarten; we met when a boy threw a snail in her hair and she freaked; I came to her rescue and beat the boy who did this to her up.
I may be a girl, but I can hold my own if things call for it. I will not tolerate bullie or kids being mean to one another.
Mama and Daddy both say I should have been a boy; if I had been a boy they were gonna name me Butch; but since I am not a boy, they called me Bluebonnet instead. They named me that 'cause my eyes are so blue; they are the exact color of Texas bluebonnets, so that name suited me perfectly. I was also born in the springtime, when bluebonnets are most plentiful.
Some of my very favorite extracurricular activities include dancing and singing, watching tv (Amercia's Got Talent and the Voice are my favorite shows; I also like American Idol and Dancing With The Stars, as well as So You Think You Can Dance), drawing, coloring, writing poems or stories, going to country concerts (Carrie Underwood and Loretta Lynn are my favorite singers; I also love Keith Urban and Alan Jackson), and reading. Another activitiy I enjoy is going to church; we go to Waxahatchie First Baptist Church, where I sing in the choir every Sunday (the kids' choir, not the adult choir). I accepted Jesus Christ as my saviour when I was 9, Cerulean's age.
When I grow up, I want to be a dancer or a singer (natch!). I want to make show business my career of choice. I think I am talented enough, and I think I can offer the world something. I have been dancing and singing ever since I was really little and have sung at some local festivals and even at a few local opry shows around our area; it's a great way to get noticed by other people; hopefully something will come out of this.
Well, I hate to go, but Mama has supper all ready; we're having hot dogs and hamburgers cooked out on the grill (YUM!!) as well as tater tots, a lettuce and tomato salad, and for dessert, apple cobbler. Mama is an awesome cook! The weather is real nice out, so we are gonna eat out, picnic style, and then probably go swimming an hour after we eat. Sounds like a fun evening is in store!!
