Breaux Bridge Crawfish Festival, Breaux Bridge, LA., 12:40 p.m., D.S.T.~

Laissez Les Bon Temps Rouler, chere's! AAIEEE!!
We are having a great time here at the annual Crawfish Festival here in Breaux Bridge, Louisiana! The weather couldn't be more perfect (partly cloudy to clear skies with temperatures in the upper 60's; forecast high today is 74 degrees with low humidity levels and winds from the north). God is smiling down upon us here at the festival!
Unfortunately, Johnny and Rebekka did NOT make it here: they are getting ready to move to Norman, Oklahoma; Johnny will be attending college there at Oklahoma University (BOOMER SOONER!!). I can understand that, but I sure would have loved to see him and my daughter-in-law, as well as Jackie and Tim, their caregivers who help them out each and every day!
Most of the other kids did make it, though, so I am happy. I am having a ball spoiling our grandchildren and seeing them having fun on the carnival rides and games, as well as seeing them enjoying the Cajun and zydeco music. It makes me happy to see them happy!
We are getting ready to see Paul Daigle and "Cajun Gold"; they will take the Crawfish Stage at 1:00; following them will be Yvette Landry and her band. Then it will be Chubby Carrier and his zydeco band; closing out the festival will be Steve Riley and his "Mamou Playboys"; the festival ends at 4:00, so the festival is quickly winding down. Seems that the fun went by way too fast ....
Yesterday Ronee' and her band, "Cajun HEAT!", performed; they performed from 2 to 3; they did a great job. After their performance, it was Sheryl Cormier and her "Cajun Sounds". At 5:00, Belton Richard and "The Musical Aces" took the stage; we then headed to the main stage, where Wayne Toups and his ZydeCajun members were getting ready for their 8:00 performance. We then stayed until 10, after Wayne Toups got done and headed back to our "home away from home", the Red Roof Inn.
It was a very nice day, but we were a little sore from dancing! LOL
Besides the dancing, we ate like pigs: we ate crawfish in every shape and form; we have to dance to get all the extra weight off! LOL We are truly living the good life! God has really blessed us in so many ways!
In June, we are going to camp out for a week at Hurricane Mills, Tennessee, at Loretta Lynn's Dude Ranch. She (Loretta Lynn) will be performing there on June 3, 2013. We will then go back home and regroup and wait for the annual Red White and BOOM! Festival in Nashville, where we will see more great musical entertainment, see the annual Fourth of July Parade, and see the fireworks show, which is one of the biggest in the country. Over a million dollar's worth of shells will be shot off; the show itself lasts nearly 45 minutes long. It is absolutely incredible!
Note that we aren't going to the CMA Country Music Festival (formerly Fan Fair) this year. We didn't go last year either. We will be going to the National Quartet Convention in Kentucky later on this year (October); we were going to go last year, but something came up at the last minute, and we had to cancel. I was so disappointed; I was really looking forward to going!
Even though we aren't really going to be doing a lot of traveling, we are still going to have a lot of fun this summer, as you can see!
It is nice to think about other things than bills or work; I have thought about my co workers at the hospital and hope they are doing well. They must be because I haven't heard anything and the hospital, last I knew, was still standing! LOL
