Color me blessed.
If blessings were a specific color, I would prorably color them bright sunshine yellow because they make people happy. Very happy.
Today is Mother's Day and today my church honored all the mothers in our congregation with a special breakfast prepared by the men of the church; our pastor then did a powerful sermon about "The Reason Why God Made Mothers" that was truly moving. He then recognized all of us by having us stand up while the congregation applauded.
After church, my husband, Taylor, took me, and our kids (Ravyne and Gage, ages 8 and 2) out to eat; we went to Chili's, where we all had a good, hot, homecooked meal. The restaurant was busting out the doors; we had to wait over an hour and a half to get seated, but once we were, it was worth it all. Then we went to the park, where we let the kids run off some of their extra energy while Taylor and I unwound from the busyness of the morning.
The weather was stunning, to say the very least: partly cloudy skies with low humidity levels, with expected highs in the middle to upper 70's. You couldn't have asked for more perfect weather for Mother's Day.
Just thinking about all my blessings makes me want to praise God right out loud, if not by singing, but by applauding Him. He is worthy of all my praise; so many others don't have nearly what I do, and that makes me truly humbled. So if I suddenly start singing or applauding, I hope the people don't mind; I'm just praising my Lord and Saviour!
It was one of the best Mother's Days that I can rightly remember!
