Hello from Music City U.S.A.!

This is your friend, Yemoja Arinyalure, writing.  I just got home from work; it's been a crazy-busy day, but that is typical of Fridays just before the weekend.  And since this weekend is a holiday one, I don't have to go back to work until Tuesday, which means a few extra days of sleeping in and relaxing! :)  Yay!!

I am doing well, but my stump is hurting.  Have been on my feet for a good part of the day, and it hurts.  I am sure it has red marks on it.  I will have to check it carefully to make sure there are no sores; if there is, I will have to keep a close eye on it and put salve on it so I don't get an infection or end up in the hospital again.  That last happened to me two years ago, just after my last journal entry; I was in the hospital for a month.

I am happy to say I am doing much better now.

I am also happy to report that it has been seven years since I have been declared cancer-free.  Every year that goes by where no cancer is detected is another reason to celebrate and thank God for His goodness upon my life!  I am praying this continues!

I am still attending Christ Community Assembly of God Church here in Nashville.  The church continues to thrive and grow: over 1,800 people call CC AofG Church home.  We may have to end up finding a new building because the current one is quickly getting too small, what with all the new families/faces here.  That is a good thing when the church body grows, but it also means more work for the pastoral staff.

I sing on the worship team, as do several close friends: Louisiana Sandusky and her husband, Bill, my twin sister (Yamala), MeMe (Muriel) Johnson, and others.  We enjoy raising our voices in song for the Lord, and we enjoy putting the message out there for those who come to our services each and every week.

My twin sister, Yamala, is still working at the Nashville Public Library, where she works behind the desk, checking out books and interacting with the patrons.  She is doing very well.  I see her  whenever I can get to the library.  She sometimes stops by for a visit.

Well, nothing much is new, but I AM getting ready to go out with MeMe, Gloria, and Stud (Jackson); they are taking me out to dinner at the Outback Steak House.  It's one of my very favorite places to eat.  I am sure we will have a very good time (not to mention, a great meal, to boot!).  

I will write in here again soon; sorry it's been so long, but as I said last time, I am terrible at keeping everyone updated as to what's gong on in my life.  I hope you understand; life has a way of doing that.  Until later, take care and may God bless; this is Yemoja Arinyalure saying so long!
