My name is Amie Jolene Harkness.  I am 11 years old.  I live in Wichita Falls, Texas, with my family.

I have long reddish blonde hair and green eyes.  I also have freckles; I  inherited them from my daddy.  My mama has blond hair and brown eyes.  I have two sisters (Chisholm Grace and Cheyenne Lynn; they are twins and are ten, one year youngr than me). 

I am in the fourth grade.  I will be fifth grade in Auguest, when we go back to school.  I will be done with fourth grade next week; I can't wait!  I am more than ready for summer vacation to start!

Most of my friends call me "Green Eyes", mainly because of my pretty green eyes.  They are the color of emeralds; they are really quite an unusual shade of green.  That is okay; I really don't mind it at all.  I think my big green eyes (and my reddish hair) are my best features; they're the first things people notice when they see me.

When I grow up, I'd like to become a country singer like my favorite, Loretta Lynn.  I have always loved to sing and have been able to sing at some local opry shows around Texas and Oklahoma.  I have been singing since I was six, for four years now. 

Besides singing or performing, I love to dance, draw, write stories or poems, read (I like the Little House series of books by Laura Ingalls Wilder the best), watch tv (America's Got Talent, American Idol, So You Think You Can Dance, and Dancing With The Stars are my favorite shows), spend time with my family and friends, travel, and play on the computer. 

I also love to go swimming, go on walks, play volleyball, soccer, softball, and do gymnastics; I am very active and have always been.  That's one reason why I've always been rather skinny; I really don't have to worry about my weight.

Well, I hate to go, but I have to run and get ready for supper.  Daddy is cooking hamburgers or hot dogs on the grill; as for Mama, she is making potato salad, three bean salad, and velvet red cake for our picnic that we're gonna have if the weather doesn't get nasty (currently, we're under another tornado watch 'til ten; I pray we don't get any weather; we've already had more than enough as it is!  I'm ready for this weather pattern to change; this stuff has been going on for two weeks!!).
