My best friend is a Welsh corgi named Bug. I called him that because as a puppy he loved to chase bugs. Now that he is a full-grown pup, he still chases them to this day.
I got Bug as a birthday present from my pops. Bug came at a very bad time in my life. I had just lost three close friends to a drunk driver going the wrong way; they were my age. I became extremely depressed and wanted nothing more than to die; then Pops brought Bug, and my life hasn't been the same since.
Bug has huge dark eyes that don't miss a thing, a brown-black nose that is always wiggling, two short ears that stick up like twin flags, a stout, sturdy body that is brownish-gold and white, and four stubby legs capped with four snow-white paws. He is absolutely adorable; I just love Bug to pieces!
Bug follows me around everywhere. Wherever I go, there's Bug, following closely behind. If I am at school, he waits until I come home. If he sees me or the bus, he goes crazy with excitement: from the way Bug acts, you would think I have been goine for a YEAR instead of six or seven hours at school! It is absolutely hilarious!
Some of Bug's favorite activities include playing fetch or frisbee, digging in the dirt, rolling around in the mud or in the trash (and then I have to bathe him 'cause he stinks to high heaven), laying on my lap or beside me when I go to bed for the night or play on the computer in the den, going for walks or visiting his friends at the dog park, and annoying the pit bull next door, although Bug is so much smaller. (The pit bull and Bug are friends; the wrost Killa can do to Bug is lick him to death, which is so often the case. LOL)
I don't know what I would do without Bug. He may be a dog, but he is my best friend, and the best thing that could have ever happened to me!
