Tiny sure does live up to her name!
At two years old and barely three pounds, she is a toy chihuahua. Tiny is my dog; I have had her since she was a wee mite of a puppy; now she's gotten a little bigger and has the heart of a lion. Nothing daunts her.
I got Tiny when I was diagnosed with a seizure disorder that forced me to quit my job and go on disability (I'm still waiting on that). She alerts others (as well as myself) whenever a seizure is about to hit and twice she's saved my life when I quit breathing. Thank God my mom was home at the time or else I wouldn't be here, telling my story!
Tiny's best friend is our 30 pound Ragdoll, Chuckles. They are always together, it seems; to see them side by side puts the myth that dogs and cats can't get along to rest. They sleep together, play together, even eat together. Chances are, if you see one, you will probably see the other, following close behind.
And then there's me. :)
I'm always scared that Chuckles will hurt Tiny because he is so massive in size, but Chuckles is all fur. If he has a bath or gets wet, he looks more like a drowned rat with cat ears and a tail, not to mention, whiskers! LOL
I got Tiny and Chuckles at the suggestion of my doctor, who knows me better than my own parents sometimes. It was the best decision that she could have ever made, especially when I ended up needing the ambulance twice because I was having spells of status epilepticus (or prolonged, severe, uncontrollable seizures)!
I don't know what I would do without my babies. They are my everything and I thank God for them each and every day!
