Oh, so long ago, when dragons still walked the land and breathed fire, many people lived in kingdoms. A kingdom is a place ruled by a king and a queen.

     In our kingdom lived King Evan, Queen Angelina, and Prince Liam, in a territory straddling the Rio Grande River between Texas and Mexico.

     A very nice man named Gabrian took care of the castle gardens. He had a daughter named Ava. She always smiled and said kind words to everyone she saw, which made her a beautiful girl.

     Ava helped her father in the gardens everyday. At night she read books, because she liked to learn things about the world.

     Prince Liam soon loved Ava. He told his father, the king, that he wanted to marry her. The king told him that he could not marry someone who was not from a royal family. He was supposed to marry another princess from a country on the other side of the world.

     But the prince truly loved Ava, so he married her anyway. This made the king very angry. He said he was going to send Ava far away. So the prince took her deep into the forest to live where no one could find them.

     Liam and Ava found a place that was very beautiful.There they built a small bubble to live in. They could see deer, rabbits, squirrels, and all the other animals that lived around them. They were very happy.

     The king's men looked for them, but could not find them. But one day something happened to change their peaceful little home in the forest. There was something majical about the prince's bubble. Happiness made it grow. With every happy day the bubble grew bigger and bigger...

     Until, finally, the bubble could be seen above all the treetops.

     The king sent his men to find out what the big bubble was, and there they found the happy couple. The king's men burst the bubble with their swords and took Prince Liam and Ava back to the castle.

     King Evan sent Ava far away to be a slave, and kept the prince locked in the castle. The king brought many beautiful ladies to be Prince Liam's wife, but he would not marry any of them. He thought only of his kind, smiling Ava.

     After a few years, King Evan died and Prince Liam became the new king. He ordered his men to look for Ava until they found her. It took them a long time, and when they brought her to him, he did not think it was his Ava. She was dressed in rags and her hands were very wrinkled from hard work.

     But then she smiled, and he knew it was her.

     King Liam made Ava his queen. They could have lived in the castle and ruled the kingdom, but they missed their happiness bubble.

     King Liam kissed his mother, the Queen Mother Angelina, goodbye, and gave her the kingdom to rule. The new Queen, Ava, said farewell to her father, Gabrian, who stayed behind to help the Queen Mother and keep care of the gardens.

     King Liam and Queen Ava returned to the forest and built a new bubble to live in.

     To this day the happiness bubble is still growing and the top can be seen above the trees. Some people call it a rainbow.
