The man is dealing with continuing flashbacks as he tries to get his life back in order after being abducted by space creatures.

Amazingly enough, I am not pregnant (much to my relief!), but I am suffering from a form of psychosis and PTSD.  The doctors aren't sure as to whether to believe my "tale", but I know better.  I saw them.  I. Saw. THEM!!!  I heard THEM!! I felt THEM!!  I tasted THEM!! I smelled THEM!!

Dr. Hindreich feels something else may be going on with my overall health, so he's made appointments for me to see a specialist dealing with unknown disorders and has advised me to see a psychiatrist.  Great.  I guess that means he thinks I have lost my ever loving mind.  Well, I HAVEN'T!! I KNOW what has happened to me, and it's made a complete wreck out of my life!

My own family doesn't even know how to deal with me.  They acknowledge that I am there, among them, but they treat me like a pariah.  I haven't had sex with my wife since all of this happened, and the kids avoid me like I'm carrying the bubonic plague.  It's really disturbing!  Well, if they knew the hell that I endured with those ... those ... SPACE CREATURES ..., maybe then they would show me a little bit of support or sympathy!!

I haven't been out of the house much (excepting to go see my doctor); I'm scared that I am being watched by prying, unseeing eyes.  I somehow feel that the aliens are still out there, somewhere, lurking, just waiting to snap me up again!  Then what is going to happen??  Then people wonder why I am acting so paranoid: you would too if you experienced what I did!!

The prayers haven't done much good.  If there is even a God, He would take away all this hell that I am suffering.  I think maybe the best thing to do would be to just end it all; a guy can only take so much before he goes stark.  Raving. MAD!!!!
