Medical Update #2, June 29, 2013~

Jebediah Michael remains about the same: no real improvement in his overall condition, although the bleeding has slowed down considerably, but I'm not holding my breath ... he still has a very long way to go in his recovery.

Whoever thought that a simple repair of a hole in his heart could turn into ... this??  His brain activity is still not that great and his vital signs are fairly irratic.  The doctors and nurses have been doing a terrific job trying to keep on top of things, but it's still hard to see our precious little boy like this!

Earlier today, Harold (that's my husband) and our oldest children came to see their brother; they are understandably worried about him (and who isn't??).  The younger children (and our 11 year old) really don't have a clue just how much danger our son is in, but I am trying to keep things in line and trying to have a hopeful heart.  I haven't given up in my faith; if there is one thing I've learned, events like the one we are currently facing have made us stronger as a family.   We've been down this road before as a family; this certainly isn't the first time!

It is so refreshing to see the children praying so earnestly for Jebediah.  It makes my heart sing for joy!  And Harold has been a dear in keeping an eye on the other children while I stay at Jebediah's bedside, praying, watching, hoping for that miracle that somehow seems to keep eluding us.

The doctors remain guarded regarding Jebediah's outcome from this crisis, but what they fail to realize is this: God CAN do the impossible; He is a God of miracles and hope!  I am standing on God's promises for not only Jebediah, but our whole family, and I am confident that He WILL bring our son through this!  Our son WILL wake up, and the bleeding WILL stop.  His vital signs WILL become normal, and his brain function WILL come back to life!  I know they will!!  

Just keep us in your prayers; and thanks for all the support y'all have shown our family, especially to Jebediah!  He may be down right now, but he hasn't even begun to give in!  He is going to win this fight if God sees to it!!
