Dear All~
Louie here. Thought the good times were going to be continuing, but alas: it wasn't to be. Our daughter, Ronee', fell and went into premature labor. She just got here; Bill and I are waiting in the Labor and Delivery Waiting Room, waiting for news. Michael, Ronee' 's husband, is on the way here; he should be joining us soon (I hope).
Her twin boys, Dean and Dillon, have apparently decided that they were in a hurry to come. I'm so scared; I don't want anything to happen to Ronee' or to her baby boys ....
Ronee' is due in October ... or was, before today. Now it looks like her boys will be making an earlier-than-expected appearance in July. That means that she is having her babies three months earlier than originally scheduled. I'm waiting to talk to her doctor now, to see if she's found out anything ....
Oh, good! Michael is here; he looks understandably worried. I have tried to reassure him that Ronee' is in good hands, and that all should be okay; all we can do is pray and hope.
Later (6:30 p.m.)~
Ronee' just came out of surgery; she had a C-section, and Dean and Dillon have arrived safe and sound. They are quite small (Dillon weighed 2 pounds, 4 ounces, while his brother weighed a hefty 4 pounds even), but both appear to be breathing on their own and appear to be in remarkable shape. Ronee' came though the surgery like a trooper; she is now in her hospital room, sleeping peacefully and comfortably. Dr. Padgett, Ronee' 's obstetrician, just talked with us, and is relieved that all went so well, considering the circumstances.
Her children are now safely ensconced in the NICU, where they will be well taken care of and closely monitored by the NICU staff while Ronee' recovers from the surgery. For now, all is well; for that I can be truly grateful! I pray this continues; so much can happen (like it just did today, when we got the call that Ronee' was on her way to the hospital in an ambulance).
Ronee' has a way of springing surprises on us whenever we least expect it ... and the tradition continues! LOL I owe my grey hair to that child, now a married woman! LOL I'm just grateful that she is okay (as are Dillon and Dean); I just became a grandma (again) sooner than planned!
As soon as I see them (and their mama), I will update! Just keep those prayers coming!! I (and Michael and especially Ronee') will appreciate each and every one! God bless and take care; I have a child (and twin grandsons) to visit!!
~Love, your friend in Tennessee, Louie May. :)
