Nashville, TN., USA, 7:54 p.m.,, C.D.T.~
G'day, y'all! :)
This is Tottie Ruth Brighton writing; sorry it's been so long since I last put pen to paper, but you know how it is: I have a little one to care for (Tristan Robert; he is now no longer a baby; he's now in preschool and doing very well. He just turned four). No, make that two: we also have a daughter, Guinvere Abigail ("Abby" for short) to care for. They keep us hopping.
We are now in the USA; we arrived last night after an 18/19 hour flight from our home in Sydney, Australia. I'm still knackered, but Bobbo seems raring to go. I'm not used to traveling like this, but it is good to be back here in Nashville. I have made some wonderful friends here: Louisiana Sandusky, her husband, Bill, and their children, for one. And also Rachel and Kendall Smith.
We haven't really done anything since coming, but Bobbo seems to have recuperated from his flight; meanwhile, I'm still foggy. Don't know if it is from the flight itself or if my fibromyalgia and MS are acting up again. Plus me stump is aching really badly. I'm going to have to take it easy and be careful. I just hope that Bobbo doesn't call me a party pooper; I seem to do a lot of that, leaving him with the lion's share of helping the kids ....
Some mother I am .... *Sigh*
If we don't see Louie and company, Rachel, or our other stateside friends tomorrow, we will have plenty of time: after all, we will be here for two weeks (now 13 days and counting). I just have to get used to the time change here and the fact that I am suffering from a most horrible case of jet lag! I always do whenever we travel long distances like this ....
Australia isn't just across the street: it's over 7,000 miles away!! I'm not going to walk to Australia, that is for certain! LOL
The children are being good: Triystan is "reading" to his baby sister, holding his favorite Dr. Seuss book upside down. It's comical to watch. I just adore my children so much; I just wish I could do more for them, but my health can be so unpredictable at times! It's really maddening, that ....
The weather is the oppo of what it is back home: in Sydney, it's winter; it's cold and we've had snow and frost. Here, it's hot and humid, very sticky, very uncomfortable. It really drains me. I hate the heat; always have, always will.
Well, I hate to run, but suddenly, I have to use the restroom; if I don't go now there's going to be a very nasty incident all over the hotel floor! I will write in here again soon; I hope Bobbo reaches me in the nick of time .... take care, all!
~Love, your friend from Down Under (now above ground in Tennessee, USA! LOL), Tottie Ruth. :)
