A man is still suffering from vivid flashbacks and nightmares as he deals with the memories of being abducted by aliens. He is desperate for answers. And relief.

Well, I've had all those expensive tests, and nothing.  All that time (and money) spent, and there are still no real answers as to why I continue to suffer like this.

I haven't had a good night's sleep in I don't know how long.  I close my eyes, and I still see THEM.  Those aliens who abducted me and ran their tests on me and did nasty things to my body.  I still feel tainted, dirty, somehow.

My wife is beside herself with worry.  So are the kids.  The man they know no longer exists: it's as if they are living with a complete stranger ... and in a way, I am exactly that.  I am no longer myself any more.

I still swear I'm going mad.  It's a wonder I haven't ended up in the looney bin by now.  I can't talk to anybody or even hardly leave the house (excepting to go to my appointments), for fear that I am somehow being watched by unseen, prying eyes.  I fear that danger lurks at every turn, and I just don't trust anybody in general any longer.  I have become a recluse .....

I don't know what to do any more.  Maybe it is best that I end it all ... maybe being dead is the answer; it's gotta be better than the madness in which I now deal with on a daily basis ....
