The "experts" were right: they said that there would be massive auroral displays out, and there certainly are!  I look outside, and the entire sky is covered with auroras!  They say the auroras are exceptionally bright and can be seen as far south as Mexico and South America!  Last I checked the K index is running at a 10, and it could possibly go even HIGHER!

The auroras are mostly green, but they change colors: red, blue, white, yellow, orange, purple, pink, and back again.  The intensity is absolutely astounding!

Meanwhile, I hurt too bad to really pay attention to the auroras.  I got a very bad sunburn, and I am praying it doesn't turn into something like ... like .... skin cancer.  I also pray that I don't get sick as a result; I have heard that people can get sick from a very bad sunburn.  I am practically glowing, I am so red, and I am miserable!

There are reports of power outages in the area, and they say power can go out here too.  So can phone and internet service; I wouldn't be surprised if I suddenly lose mine.  But for now, it's working, just not as well as usual.

I wonder what the sun will bring to us tomorrow in the daytime.  I'm almost too afraid to think about it or find out when I awake in the mornng ....
