Dear Journal~
Greetings in the name of our risen Saviour, the Lord Jesus Christ!
This is your friend, Fahid Al Mahood, writing. I pray this finds you all blessed and doing well. I am doing better; for a while, I didn't think I would ever be happy again, but now that my ex husband is safely behind bars again, I can breathe much easier.
As I stated in my last entry (February of 2012, last year), my ex was due to be on parole. Well, he got out, but as soon as he did, he started harrassing me, threatening to bring bodily harm to not only myself, but to my children, Hadassah Ruth (7) and Amir, Jr. (10). He even tried to burn our house down back in April; thank God we got out in the nick of time, but I ended up having to stay in a shelter, as did the children, so we could be safe.
He even tried to shoot me while I lay in bed, asleep. The bullet just missed my head by inches; but it grazed my pillow. I have had to undergo counseling ever since; I continue to be plagued with ongoing nightmares. This happeend in June. It's a thousand miracles the bullet didn't srike me or the children. God had His hand upon my family at the time; and He still continues to do so to this very day.
I no longer walk by myself whenever I go outside. I have my friend Tula Abarake walk with me, or other neighbors. I know Amir, Sr. is in jail for a very long time to come, but I just don't feel safe any more. I fear for my life (and the lives of my precious children) now more than ever. There is no telling what he might try to pull; he continues to be as deranged as ever.
I think Amir, Sr. is upset with me because I converted to Christianity. He is also upset with me because I filed for divorce and will not let him near me or my children. Do you blame me?? He tried to shoot me (but missed). He tried to set my house on fire and kill all three of us while we were asleep (we got out in plenty of time, even though our house was totally destroyed). He also tried to kill me by pouring boiling hot oil on my face and left me severely disfigured for life. Yet I will not let Amir, Sr. prevail because even in the midst of all his evil, I have a weapon that is far greater: none other than the saving blood of Jesus Christ.
It is no wonder that I have had to put Amir, Sr., back where he belongs (in prison) and have a strict restraining order put upon him if he ever tries to contact wtih me again, be it by e-mail, phone, or in person. That man is dangerous, I tell you: extremely dangerous!
It is no wonder that I don't trust but a very few people!
Well, Hadassah wants me to help her with her school project, so I will let you go. I will write in here again soon. Just keep me (and my kids) in your prayers; after what we have experienced the psat several months, we could really use them! Thanks and God bless!
~Love, your friend in Tennessee, Fahid Al Mahood. :(
