If I didn't have my furry babies in my life, I don't know where I would be.

I do know one thing: I'd be a miserable, rotten person.  I can't imagine my life without any of my cats!

I have seven cats: two solid black ones named Onyx and Jet (both are American short hair cats), two Maine Coons (one orange named Tom and a classic brown tabby named Francisca), a Ragdoll named Tinkerbelle, and two "mutts" (mixed) named Rascal and Tobias.

They are all rescues.  I adopted them from the local animal shelter.  I adopted them between five and two years ago.   I adopted them after my husband sickened of cancer and then died.  I thought my world was going t to fly apart; then my doctor suggested that I adopt a pet to help me cope.  Turns out it was the best piece of advice he could have given me.  I not only adopted one: I ended up adopting seven!

It has been proven that having pets (in my case, cats) has been beneficial to one's health.  It allows people to live longer, have less likelihood of having heart problems, strokes, or high blood pressure (and other health woes), and is beneficial for those suffering from depression or mental decay.

I know I have felt better since acquiring Tom, Onyx, Jet, Francisca, Tinkerbelle, Rascal, and Tobias!  People seem to notice the change in me too, not only physically, but mentally, emotionally, and even spiritually.  It is because of my cats that I have gone back to church.  I have reason to now; God's blessed me with my babies, and I owe it all to Him!  So I go to worship and offer my praise and thanksgiving.

Right now, being Sunday, the kitties are sitting around me on the couch, while I sit and watch some football.  I have already fed the kitties their nom-noms and have had play time with them; now we're all vegging out and enjoying this day.  

I will probably play with them some more later on and give them their nightly nom-noms.  They are very good eaters and all are in excellent health.  

I hate to go now, but the phone is ringing; have to see who it is.  Cats are now running all over; the phone's unexpected tone scared them!  Poor babies!
