School has barely begun, and already we have snow days!  We got over two feet of snow here in the Denali area (we live near the park) and they've already cancelled school for tomorrow and possibly as late as Wednesday!

It is only October, but it looks (and feels) more like Christmas!!  

The snow has since stopped for now, but we could get some more by Tuesday morning; they're calling for at least another foot of the white stuff.

I don't mind, but then again, I do: if this keeps up, we'll have to make up days and that wouldn't be fair to us!  It's not our fault the weather is the way it is!!  It's just that Old Man Winter decided to get an early start here in the interior of Alaska!

We have been having fun playing in the white stuff, building snowmen (or snow ladies) and making snow angels, and throwing snowballs at each other.  But as I said earlier, it's stopped; but more could be on the way.  I hope not, because there's been an active aurora period, and I'd love to see some northern lights!  Have already seen some spectacular displays, where it looks like the entire sky is dancing!

I hope the snow doesn't ruin our chance to go out for tricks and treats on Halloween night!  That would just suck and bite the big one!!

Well, I'm gonna go to my friend's house down the way and see if I can talk him into going sledding.  The snow is just begging to be trodded or sledded upon!  Take care and see ya later!!  Bye!!
