Maddie Wright here.  Thought an update was in order.

Our family is growing by leaps and bounds.  We now have thirteen children who range in age from two on up to 18.  We have six boys and seven girls; they keep us hopping.

We have adopted Jonquil and Jamila from Haiti; they are our own now.  They are both beautiful.

We have also adopted three more, all boys, ages 2, 3, and 4, from China.  Their names are Li (Lee), Wang (Wayne), and Hao (Hunter).  Like most of our children that we adopted, the boys have special needs.  Lee and Wayne had been born with cleft palates (since repaired) but are otherwise healthy.  As for Hunter,  he has spina bifida and is just learning to walk with a walker.  It is likely he will graduate to crutches before next summer; he is progressing beautifully.

But I am here to write about Korina, who is now nine.  It's hard to believe just how fast she has grown; she is nearly as tall as I am now and whip-smart.  She gets all A's in all her classes at school and is in the gifted/talented program.  She is excited because tomorrow at her school they are having a Halloween party; she is going to be Glinda the Good Witch of the North.

Korina is my princess, my heart.  She has managed to wrap both Greg and myself around her pinkie finger.  She has such a sweet, compassionate heart about her and has accepted Christ as her Savior this past summer at church camp.

When she grows up, Korina wants to work with children who have disabilities.  She also wants to be a singer, an artist, an author of chidlren's books, and a nurse.  She has a lot of dreams.

Well, I hate to cut this short, but Jonquil is crying; she needs my attention, and Lee and Wayne have gotten into the flour again and are having a rock'em sock'em flour fest in the kitchen.  *Sigh* A mother's work is never done .... I will write when I can; sorry it's been so long!  God bless and take care!
