My name is Enya Maria Slowacki.  I am ten years old.  I live with my family in a suburb of Chicago, Illinois.  I have a mama, a daddy, a grandma (I call her "Babushka"), and two big sisters (Anna and Gracie; they are 13 and 18).  We also have a cat, a calico named "Spritzle".

I am in the fifth grade at Culver Heights Elementary School.  My teacher is Mrs. Melody, and my best friend is Carolyn Amadie.  We've been best friends since kindergarten.

When I grow up, I want to be an actress or a singer.  I also want to be an artist.  (Maybe I can be all three! :) )

This week is Thanksgiving, so this is our short week at school.  I only have a day and a half left before we go on vacation for Thanksgiving.  I can't wait!  We are going to our other grandma's house; they live in a penthouse in downtown Chicago.  They make turkey and all the trimmings, plus Polish dishes like kluski kapushta po (fried cabbage with noodles) with keilbasa (Polish sausage), and even stuff like sauerkraut and cheese fondue.  My mama's parents really love to cook; they are very good at it!

While at my other grandma and grandpa's place, I will see my cousins Jan, Rosie, Eva, Tine, Otto, Oskar, and Carley.  We also have a new cousin, Erick, who was adopted from Bulgaria last month; I haven't met him yet, but have seen pictures.  he is two, and he is very cute!!

Well, I hate to go, but the school bus is here, so I'd best stop, so I can get on it and get home.  I don't think my parents or sisters would like it if I didn't come home from school! LOL  Take care and God bless; I will write in here again!  Bye!
