My son, River Slade, is going to be a little star come tomorrow.  He is going to do his first solo ever during our church's Christmas pageant, which is tomorrow.

He is going to sing "Silent Night".

I am really looking forward to hearing him sing.  River has been practicing for weeks, ever since we found out that he had been picked by his Sunday school teacher to do a solo.  Apparently, Ms. Nettles had heard his singing one day during play time and she liked how he sang, so she asked him if he would like to sing in the Christmas pageant.

River, seeing he loves to sing, readily agreed.

Now his big debut is coming up, and the entire family, from aunts, uncles, cousins, and even his own immediately family (us) are going to come to church and watch River perform.  I will be taking lots of pictures and will probably upload them to Facebook later on tomorrow night.  That way, those relatives who couldn't come to be with us or see River sing can see what their little relative has been up to.  River has been singing pratically nonstop and I keep telling him to save his voice; I don't want to have him end up with a sore throat before his performance.

That would really be bad.

Well, tonight's the rehearsal, so I'm going to gather the family and head on over to the church.  Pray that River (and all of the cast, vocalists, and musicians) do well, and pray that they do well tomorrow!  We would all appreciate any (and all) prayers!  Thanks in advance!
