What a Christmas this is .... we got the gift of a little girl whom we had been trying to adopt for the past two and a half years from Korea.  The adoption was confirmed last week; we went to Korea to pick Hannah Joy and we will be heading back this weekend, tomorrow, as a matter of fact.

My mother is back home with our other two children, Marcus and Grady, who are six and ten.  Hannah is nine and is very exotic looking with her pale skin, white hair, and ice-blue eyes.  She is beautiful! Hannah was born with albinism and is visually impaired, but other than that, she's perfectly healthy.  We will just have to take her blindness into consideration and help her cope and adjust to her new surroundings.

It is going to be a time of joy and celebration when we arrive home.  This is going to be the best Christmas ever.  We have put off opening our Christmas presents until we get back from Korea and recover from the jet lag that is sure to follow.  We were once a family of four; now we are a family of five, thanks to the addition of Hannah Joy Li.

We don't know what the future will hold or how Hannah will react to her new surroundings, but one thing IS for certain: we will do everything possible to help her adjust and to fit into our family unit.  

Just say some prayers for traveling mercies and a smooth transition for Hannah and the rest of the family; any and all prayers are greatly appreciated!  Thanks in advance!
