My name is Gloria Diane Kincaid.  I am 42 years old and live here in Nashville, Tennessee, with my husband, Richter, and our twelve children.  Our kids range in age from two on up to 22.

I am a homemaker and Richter works as a sanitation worker.  Know it's a dirty job, the garbage collecting business, but someone's gotta do it, ya know??  Besides, he makes good money and the benefits far outweigh the negatives, so I'm happy.  We really don't have to worry so much about money; God somehow always seems to make a way for us.

Ten of our children are adopted.  They come from all over: mainly the United States of America, but two come from China. 

Their names, from the oldest to the youngest: Eric Shawn (22); Daniel Paul (20); Tiger Robert (18); Harrison Kincaid (16; biological child); Gillian Kishawna (15; biological child); Thomas Alvin (14); Wayne Dupree (13); Janessa Grace (11); X'hosa Promise (8); Carisa Lynn (7); Tatiana Marie (5); and Raxton Phillip (R.P.), 2.

Our kids with special needs have diagnoses ranging from autism, Down syndrome, and varying degrees of cerebral palsy, spina bifida and severe asthma/allergies.

Just because they have special needs doesn't make them any less loved.  They are great kids.  We cannot imagine our lives without any of them.  They are the lights of our world and bring us great happiness.

We adopted our first child (Eric) when he was two.  (He's the 22 year old.)  Then came Daniel, Thomas, and Wayne.  Next came Tiger, Janessa, and X'osa, then Carissa and Tatiana.  Raxton joined our family early last year.

We didn't plan on adding so many kids to the family; it just happened. 

And we couldn't be happier.

We belong to a church that has an adoption and a special needs ministry.  Since we have both, we fit in nicely.  If it were not for our church, we wouldn't have met such wonderful families, such as the Sanduskys, the Mulligans, the Terwilligers, the Browns, or others.  We are each other's biggest advocates and support system; my life is indeed made more richer and blessed by these families!

Well, I hate to go, but it's time for Wayne to eat.  Since he is tube fed, I have to hook him up to his afternoon round of meds and 'lunch.'
