Johnathon is sick of the snow and cold. He wants spring to come, so he can go chasing severe storms again.

Dear Journal~

Johnathon here.  A very bored, annoyed, irritated Johnathon, mind you.  I hope y'all are doing better than I am at the moment.  No, I am NOT sick (and neither are the girls or Becka), but I am so sick of staying indoors!  It sems the only time I go anywhere is to therapy or doctor's appointments!  GRRR!!

The weather certainly isn't helping.  The roads are treacherous at best, and yesterday local law enforcement officials were saying that unless it was for emergency purposes only, anyone caught venturing outside would get arrested and thrown in jail.  Not that I have to worry about that ... I'm in a WHEELCHAIR, for God's sake, and I'm hooked up to a breathing tube!  Fat chance of that ever happening ... wheelchairs aren't made for wintertime travel!

Also, everybody's been sick with the flu.  So I'm not gonna jeoparadize my (already compromised) health situation by getting around people who are hacking, spitting, or sneezing all over!  My mom and several members of my family had it; so far, Becka and I have been lucky.  So have Neria and Nava, who are three months old and are starting to smile up a storm.  They are so cute; they look just like twin versions of Becka!  They are adorable!

What have I been doing besides going to doctor's or therapy appointments?  Watching the world go by and doing my schoolwork online.  I graduate in May; hard to believe that I've made it this far.  It isn't easy by a long shot, but thanks to the extra tutoring I'd gotten in the past, it's made a world of difference, and besides I have Jackie and Tom, my helpers, to help me if I ever get stuck.  I don't know what I would do wtihout 'em!  They are bogh godsends, and I thank God for sending 'em my way!

In May I will have a degree in meteorology, and I can then start looking for a job; hopefully one of the local TV stations will take me in as an intern or at least hire me as a (future) meteorologist!  That would be a dream come true for me; weather is my passion, and I love everything having to do with it!!

I don't know what they will think of a man on a vent and in a wheelchair, but I am a lot more capable than people may realize.  I can talk, think for myself, write, type, make my thoughts/feelings known, do sign language, sing (okay, not like I used to, as it tires me, but I still like to do it once in a while), and enjoy life.  I may have MD, but MD certainly doesn't have me; it's found out that I am one tough hombre who likes to do things MY way, and even a little something like MD is not gonna stop me from accomplishing my dreams!!

In addition, I have a beautiful wife and two precious twin daughters!  So take THAT, MD!!  Whoever thought that I would be a parent or have a family, let alone, get ready to graduate in a few months from college??  My dreams have come true , and it's only because OF God's grace that they have!  I just hope and pray that all of these blessings continue; a guy could get used to THIS!! I know I could! :)

Anywho, the weather has been bad.  Very snowy; we had a foot of snow several days ago, and yesterday, we got six more inches.  And we could have more in a few days.  Lovely.  Just what I did NOT want to hear!  Again, I am sick of winter; we've had a hard winter here in Tennessee!  I am so ready for spring and tornadoes and severe storms!!  :)

And I am so ready for graduation!!  I have senioritis really bad!!  I can't wait to graduate!!!!

Well, I hate to run (HA!), but I'm starting to hurt again; darn MD never gives me a break!  I will write in here again soon; until then, this is Johnathon saying so long!  May God bless you as much as He's been blessing me and my family!  And pray the snow stops; I am about to go CRAZY from cabin fever!! AAAAAAAAAAAAAAAH!!!!!

~Love, your friend in Tennesee, Johnathon.  :)
