For years I would recruit , interview and hire individuals for various positions in agencies I've worked for.

Overtime I became interested in handwriting and name analysis as a tool to help me in the tough job of matching candidates with job openings.

This was, at the time, popular in many corporations.

But I was doing it as an experiment to see if the name of the person and the traits name analysis says ought to be there actually matched the person whom I ultimately interviewed and came to work with.

In fact, I analysed my own name and used name analysis techniques to name my daughter.

Over the years I have had ocassion, of course, to see if her name and its spelling match with her actual traits.

Well this is that story and others I have looked at.

If there is a match, we want to know why. If not what about name analysis  and handwriting analysis used together?

Today we want to go a little deeper in how to analyze handwriting and match it to personality and job performance.

This is my own method which I have developed over the years.

Let's take my own name: Lonnie Hicks

First note that the first name represents the personality of the person and each letter in a given name represents a given sign of the zodiac and also each letter must be seen in tandem with the other letters in this first name to get a sense of the various aspects of the person's personality.

Let's have a look.

L represents Libra  whose symbol is the figure balancing two items on the scales of justice. This is a typical characterization of a Libra.

Thus, here we see that the personality of the individual, at least in one aspect, will be a person used to weighing both sides of issues, even-handed and often investigative. That is certainly me. Look at a the blogs on this site and others.
But L or Libra occurs in other contexts and contents of the personality and a good analysis will see all of the letters of the first name as working together.

The next letter is O.
"O"  stands for Scorpio. In my personality my O showed up as having a quick temper \which was true in my twenties but as I grew older the "L" took over.

But Scorpio is also sexy and often, eager to lead, and sometimes prone to getting involved in power struggles. Here I used this (note these are not inborn traits but ones which others see in the personality) in opposing bullies and large institutions.

The L and the O then are aspects of the personality which may show up in the beginning of an experience but are ameliorated by the other letters in the name.

The next letter is the "double N"  The double n's are Virgo traits revealing a propensity once into a project or relationship to go into in great detail and in trying to master it. Note this is evident in the blogs here. Also note that all of these personality traits have their positive and/or negative varieties. The mix varies from individual to individual and can change over time in the same individual. The negative side of a double n is that it can become critical. A postive double n will not be critical but rather masters each task in detail.

"I" is Taurus the Bull. Taurus in my personality is warm, and loyal. Loyal sometimes to a fault. Now note ending letters in a first name also tend to indicate how the personality deals with experiences toward their ending. Think of the name as showing us the various stages a person goes through in dealing with life experiences.

How one ends, finishes, completes a given task, experience, or relationship often matters as much or more as how that person begins a task or relationship.

You want to know that in jobs and in relationships. Some people start off great but undergo severe personality changes as time goes on and it is best to avoid that type of personality. I use first names as indicators.

What does mine say? I tend to become more and more loyal to a task, a person or a relationship as time goes on. Sometimes that is a fault--if you linger too long or don't know when to give up and move on.

"E" E represents how the person ends tasks or relatiohships. E stands for Gemini. I tend to want to celebrate the end of tasks or relationships by wanting to  talk about it, write about it, often in detail, with that Virgo throughness, but also chatty--sometimes too much.

At some point I will produce a chart of all of the letters in the  alphabet and talk outline their meanings and possible combinations.

Next time we look at last names. They work the same way except last names indicate the work or career aspects of a given individual.

People ask if this all works. Well not alone there are the regular factors one looks at but it is a quick insight tool which I have used over the years. It's accuracy is about 85%. I kept records.

Chapter Two: Last Names

In my system last names give an indication of how the person works at his or her job or at tasks.

My last name is Hicks

"H" stands for Saggitarus which means in my case a fun-loving individual with a sense of humor; one also interested in larger questions. All of this characterizes one kind of Saggitarus. If you look at my blogs you will see this is a pretty good fit.

But this only indicates how a person approaches a given job or task, what the middle dynamics and how that person moves toward completion is also at play in the other letters in the last name.

"I" stand for Taurus the Bull. There will be the loyality and stick-to-it kind of approach and goes will with the double n above in the personality aspects. A kind of gentle but stubborness is the entry trait along with the traits of our "H" factor.

"C" stand for Cancer which nicely compliments our  Taurus such that this is a group friendly workers with a gentle but persistent apect to see the job gets done. Taken together these indicate an openess while learning and doing a particular task.

"K" is Capricorn. This means that the individual has an eye toward the pay back in the project, the returns, the cash, the money. The  four letters taken together would make a good account, a banker, or an investigative reporter. I promise I did not doctor this.

"S" is for Leo. The ending of the task successfully indicates the individual takes pride in having successfully done so and is not above taking a victory lap or two. But like Leo likes to take a rest or alternatively like to mover on to different projects where the investigative faculty is dominant.

Taken together these two names are strong. And this is where Numerology comes in. That next time.
