King is a very happy guy this weekend.  He got to go to the St. Patrick's Day parade our city holds every year (even participated in it; how happy he was as he marched gaily in front of the happy throngs of people!), and today he got to go to a birthday party: it is my youngest niece's birthday; Mai Li is six years old today.  She is the daughter of my brother; they adopted her from China a year ago and she has grown into an enchanting little princess.

Mai Li and King are the best of friends.  They spent a good part of the afternoon playing chase-the-dog-with-the-stick-and-let's-throw-it and also hide-and-seek; they continue to romp around the yard as I write this.

It is a beautiful, patchy day: partly sunny out, with temps on the cool side: temps in the forties to lower fifties; yesterday was stormy for part of the day, but once the storms passed, King calmed down and then he was happy again.  King has never liked storms; they terrify the knots out of him.  Some storm chaser he'd be .... NOT!! LOL

Tomorrow promises more fun for King and us: we are going to an all day Irish Festival; all of us will be decked in our greenest finery, and yes, even King will be a leprechaun.  We have his costume all ready for him.  Don't know if he will like it or not, but when we tried it on him yesterday, he looked so cute!  We could not resist!

I am so glad we have King in our lives; he's fun, intelligent, and makes us laugh.  I just wish everybody could have a King in their lives; our lives are certainly more blessed because OF King and his shenanigans!
