A little girl from Louisiana updates her story.

Lake Charles, Louisiana, April 6, 2014~

Howdy from Cajun Country!!

This is your friend, Amerycal Grace Richard, writing.  I am now ten years old (or will be on July 4 this year).  Hope this finds y'all well and happy!

Well, I'm not exactly happy: it's raining cats and dogs out there: we're under severe weather watches and warnings, including the possibility of large hail and tornadoes.  I don't like storms; they have always scared me.  I pray we don't get anything too scary here!!

In the meantime, I'm trying to entertain myself and try to keep my three-year-old brother, Creighton Eriq, outta my things.  It's not working too well; he's already ripped up two of my paperback books and I'm ready to BRAIN HIM!!!!

I don't do that to his things; why, then must he ALWAYS get into MY stuff????

I want to slam him on his head with my crutches, he irritates the fire out of me!!

I'm now walking with crutches.  Have been doing that for nearly two years; I love it 'cause I have more freedom and can go anywhere I want without much trouble.  Better than being stuck in my wheelchair all the time (though if we go somewhere like the zoo or to a festival, or to the mall, the wheelchair comes with us 'cause there's just too much walking and I would get tired out quickly).

I've been growing: I'm now nearly as tall as Maman.  I'm still short, but nothing like I was.  I had a serious growth spurt last year; I gained six inches in height!!  I can wear Maman's clothes!!!!

And she can wear mine!!  We're always borrowing from each other!  :)

I'm now in the fourth grade.  Or will be once school starts back up in August (four months from now).  I just hope I have a better teacher this year; this year's teacher, the one I have now, Miss Nicely, is anything BUT nice.  She is MEAN!!!!!  Not so much at me, but at the other kids; she is always getting after them and people are always getting into trouble.  I think she personally likes to hear the sound of her own voice ....  I don't really care for her ....

Well, I hate to run, but the tornado sirens are blaring and the sky is turning mighty dark; I pray we don't get hit by a severe storm .... it's also thundring and lightning like sixty outside; I don't like this ... pray we make it through in one piece!!  I will write again soon; sorry for the long delay in updating my story!  Take care; God bless!  Pray we make it through this bad weather!!

~Amerycal.

Stuff You Can Say Everyday by D. Mullis

My son wrote a book of his personal, one liner quotes. Never underestimate the power of simple statements! A very interesting read!

Look for Something Good by Robert Drews

When two men hit the reset button and decide to go out looking for the good in the world, they not only find it but also a lot more. P.S. The title is listed on Amazon under Look for Something Good by Robert Drews (not by Robert H. Drews)
