Dear All~

Slobo Trbanek here.  I am sorry for not writing; been working and getting used to being a daddy.  Yes, my darling Ivanka and I are parents now: we have a little girl, Katinka Marie, who is a little over a year old.  She is the light of our lives; she is everything we could have ever hoped for or wanted.

Katinka looks just like her Mamma.  Blonde hair and grey eyes.  Ivanka kiddlingly calls her "Mini-Me".  I call her a blessing, because she is exactly that.  She is so smart and full of life!

And happier still, she is healthy and perfect.  We couldn't have asked for anything more!

Speaking of children, Ivanka is pregnant again.  We just found out six weeks ago.  She is just about two months along; our new baby will be due around November (Thanksgiving).  We are dearly hoping it is a boy.  We already have a little girl; we would both love a son to complete our family.

But if it is a girl, we'll be happy too.  Just as long as it's healthy .... that's all that matters!

God has been very good to us: besides giving us a happy, healthy daughter and the love that we have for each other, I am still busy with church and social gatherings.  I am still working at the grocery store, and Ivanka stays home with Katinka.  We have a wide circle of friends and we do things with each other quite often.  Our lives are busy, happy, and full of blessings.  

I got my new prosthetic legs shortly after my last entry three years ago and they are wonderful.  I can now get around without my crutches, but if I need to, I will use my wheelchair, especially if there's a lot of walking involved.  I walk three miles each and every morning (as long as the weather is good) and I feel better now than I ever have.  I also work out in the weight room and have slimmed/toned down to a desirable weight; my family, friends, and my doctor are all very proud of me.  

Ivanka and I are thinking of going on a vacation later this year: we are going on an Alaska cruise.  It's something we've both wanted to do for a while now and we've been saving our money towards a trip.  Now we have the money and we've made our reseravtions; now all we do is wait and count down the weeks, months, and days.  We are really looking foward to it!  (When we go to Alaska, Ivanka's parents will watch over Katinka.)

Well, I hate to go, but Katinka has just awoken from her nap; I can hear her in the other room, singing to herself.  I will write another day; until then, this is Slobo Trbanek saying so long; may God bless you always!  (I was off work today; that's why I am home.  Ivanka is at work; I am being "Mr. Dad" today.)
