Dear All~

Howdy from Breaux Bridge, Louisiana, the Crawfish Capital of the World!!

This is your friend, Ronee' Le-Anne Stinkowitz, writing!  I am here with my friends from college, Yvonne Stabinow and Julie Madeiros; they surprised me with a weekend getaway and I am enjoying myself emmensely.

Maman is home with Dean and Dillon back in Tennessee; so no worries about that.  I am glad to get away from babies and work; I needed a little break!  I know they are in capable hands; Maman is very good with the kids and grandkids!  

I am happy to say we survived the stormy weather, but it was wild for a few days!  I was scared to pieces; I have never liked storms and never will.  When it storms is the worst for me since Michael isn't here with me; HE'S in Alaska.  He found us a place in Fairbanks and he is working at Denali National Park as a ranger; he started his training about a week ago, and he absolutely loves it.  He can't wait for me to join him; well, the feeling is mutual!

Unlike past Crawfish Festivals, I am not performing, which is a switch.  It is kinda nice, though, to be able to dance to the Cajun bands and just take my time taking in the sights and eating and watching the performers or even sneaking in a dance or two!  I may be on crutches, but heck, none of that has ever stopped me before!  I still dance, irregardless! :)

The weather is stunning: a little warm, but not bad, and partly to mostly sunny, and a nice breeze from the north.  You couldn't have asked for better festival weather.  

Right now Sheryl Cormier and her Cajun Sounds band are on the main (crawfish) stage.  They sound just as good as ever.  I have always loved them and their traditional Cajun sound!  Next is Belton Richard and his Musical Aces.  I hope someone will ask me to dance a waltz or two when he's onstage! :D

Hard to believe it's May already!  Seems like yesterday we were back in March!  That much closer to my Alaska cruise and then my big move TO Alaska after I get back!!  That's only five months from now!  WOW!  And in a few weeks is my audition in New York City for America's Got Talent!!  I just hope I don't screw up like I've done in the past; I so want this and I am more than ready to give it my best shot and to be discovered!!

I don't know why I do okay in the preliminary auditions, but when the BIG ones come up, I always freeze up and mess up!! It happens EACH and every time!! WHY should this time be any different??  (I know, I know ... I should have more confidence in myself, but dang, I see those big name stars or judges, and it's like CHOKE CITY!!)

Well, a Cajun guy just asked me to dance, so I guess I will go now and accept his offer.  I will just have to show him my wedding ring and remind him that I am taken.  :)  Take care and God bless; will write when I get back home to Tennessee!  Until then, this is Ronee' Le-Anne Stinkowitz signing off!  Bye!
