Some have said
 a broken heart
cannot be broken again
or mended.

You said that to me
and I
in my own miasma
thought you were referring to 
my dark history
but
you were referring to yourself
 as I contemplated
the conundrum
that while I am disappointed in you
it hurts much more

that you are disappointed in me too
cogitative dissonance
where incredulously
I feel the former
yet I cannot continence
the latter
because I,
broken hearted,
am entitled to a dazzling
happiness
while you are only entitled to be
for me
Disappointment True;
happiness from your side
is naive dreaming
  you are
bogged down in the past
while I am merely
maturing.

So I suggest
that we
 (this surprisingly coming from me)

see ourselves
as broken spirits
half there
half caring
too cautious
taking the chance
to mend souls
where two broken hearts
make a whole
where souls meld
where closed doors open

in our  revelation
is what True Love is.

Perfect Love Exists
Only in Mildly Broken Hearts

But Truly Broken Hearts
come to crave True Love
  thereby
most times
come  to see
  the other
Broken Heart
as Kindred
and part of
 Common Humanity's

Love.
