"Reach for the sky. Dream and aim high. I won’t let anybody turn my spirit down”
It was nearly 4 years ago in August of 2009. I was sent to the hospital for emergency surgery.
I was in such bad shape the doctors had trouble reviving me after surgery. It was touch and go there for a while. I spent a week in the hospital. I was finally sent home with the words, “It's up to you now Ron to get well.”
After a couple of days laying on my couch. I found some energy to get up and at least try and answer some of my email messages.
I also began searching for some music I liked to try and cheer me up. I started looking for some songs by Celine Dion. I found a video of, Sarah G. singing “My Heart Will Go On” from the movie “Titanic”.
I have no idea other than curiosity why I decided to watch the MV. But once I did. I fell in love with this beautiful singer. Then I had to listen to more of Sarah's songs. The next song I found is called. “Reach for the Sky,” says the words of my motto that I have been living by for nearly 4 years.
I have done so much with my life in the last 4 years. It has amazed my friends and family members.
So far 2013 has been the best year of my life. This last Friday May 10th was the best day of my life.
After almost 4 years of tests. I was told by my doctor that all my issues that I had with my heart and stomach are gone. I now only have to visit for my yearly checkups. Plus the doctor told me I could eat chocolate ice cream again. Yay!
I know people come into our lives for a reason.
I do not believe in coincidences. I guess there was a reason I found Sarah G that day. I will always give credit to Sarah Geronimo for helping to save my life.
Sarah Geronimo saved my life in more than one way. Sarah will never know what she did to help this man get healthy again in body and soul. Sarah Geronimo is my hero!
