My premonition was upon submitting a claim to the insurance company for services rendered I would be their one-millionth denied claim and the person reviewing the rejected claim would win an all expense paid Walking Tour of Newwark, New Jersey. Meanwhile the rather enchanting young lady with eyes that resembled chasms of the darkest rich oil would smile thusly uplifting my hopes and spirits. My knowledge of physical therapy is limited to a few Japanese yells with a chop-chop motion with the side of the hand along the arm socket. The lady with incredibly warm eyes smiled and produced a medical form for me to complete. Questions pertaining to lifting, turning, washing, pushing were all there, however, I wanted to add I found it difficult to wave "Bye-Bye" and wondered if they could treat that ailment. It was time to meet my therapist, Indeed this was the professional who after years of intense studying and training was going to place her skills and her outpouring courage upon this beaten and broken body. A vigorous examination conducted in a curtained cordoned areawas designed to put me at ease. A hand body massage and her humming a lullaby had me relaxing and feeling dozy. Perhaps she was late for her smoike break and wanted to have me nod off for a few minutes. I was asked to take a seat in a kitchen chair ..I would have preferred a Captains Chair with arms but I guess my insurance coverage didn't cover that. My professional therapist would appreared she took a size 4 dress and had a waistline of about 22 made me look lik eDanny DeVito. But now came the magic embalming solution which looked more like Ponds Cold Cream. Now I realize commercial ads state Ponds would make you look longer, but really It would take extremely generous and copious amounts to make me appear younger.
Under the advisement of my primary care doctor, the tightness and discomfort I was experiencing in my shoulder could be remedied if I sought the services of a qualified and highly trained physical therapist.
Of course I met this with extreme reservations. One look a my physique and at my age anyone wishing to give my trapeseus muscle a nice squeeze and fondle my scapula like kneading pizza dough would be cause to ponder switching careers. Perhaps thirty odd years ago, inhaling some mildly hallucinogens could make the task much more laughable. Although the munchies could be a side effect if this arena was entertained.
Over the years I've been prescribed physical therapy several times. The therapists, mostly female, were in top shape, young, and extremely good-looking. There's nothing like having one of these, particularly the women, stretch your deltoids.
I'd recommend getting this voodoo any chance you get. ;-)
