If you want a good memory, it's helpful to remember where you put things.

Once upon a time there was this young boy studying for a test in school. He was having a hard time learning, and every time he would read a page, he would quickly forget. Almost as quickly as he lifted his head up when he heard his friends playing outside.

(One way to learn is to program your mind, you can learn more here: http://mindpersuasion.com/subliminal-messages/.)

Then his dad came into the room, and asked what he was doing. It didn't look like he was studying because  he was looking out the window. Maybe his dad thought he was sightseeing or something, or pretending he was on this trip.

One thing his father loved about taking trips was all the pictures he took. He wanted to remember everything, so he took as many pictures as he could. But that was only the start. Every night he'd fire up his laptop in the hotel and review all the pictures that he took, and write notes on them, and organize them by category.

He would also arrange them by folder so  he could remember where they were later on. His wife was amazed. A few years after a trip, she'd mention some restaurant diner they stopped at in Idaho, and he would quickly  pull up the photos of the pancakes they ate.

I love eating pancakes, but I never remember how to make them, which is why I buy the pre-made pancake mix. I suppose I should learn, in case I find myself in need of pancakes without any pre-made pancake mix.

Any how, the father sent the boy to the bank, where he need to make a withdrawal. The boy walked up and gave the teller his dad's card. The teller helped him fill out the paperwork, and gave him his money.

They boy asked why they knew where everybody's money was, and the teller told him the secret was putting it somewhere that you'd remember. It was hard to get something when you didn't know where you put it in the first place.

Before they even started collecting money from people, they first spent a lot of time figuring out how they were going to store everything, so they wouldn't waste a lot of time looking for things later on.

So the boy went home, finished studying, and easily passed his test.

Then he went outside and played baseball.

I've always used that method for everything. I never have a problem remembering where something is. I used to put things in place physically very well, but can't do that anymore except on the computer. I found that others that I've hired to place things for me don't do a very good job and we end up spending a lot of time finding things that should be obvious. I've had with more on my memory than I'd like to, so find sometimes, my memory fails me, when it comes to names and finding old locations I haven't been to in years.
