This is a continuation of the letter I began yesterday. I still have more to say; and this is why I am continuing with this.
Johnny, you may have had many challenges in your young life, but you have overcome so much; and you have emerged, stronger, braver, and more determined than ever to succeed at whatever life may throw at you. You also have the Saving Grace of a very loving God, and it is because of this that you are assuredly going to Heaven, to be with Jesus, when you DO die.
Whenever people look at you, Johnny, they see not only a child who is usually in a wheelchair; they see a child full of hope and joy, and they see the Love of Jesus in your bright, sparkling blue eyes. You always seem to have a smile for all who see you, and you always seem to have a word of encouragement, even when you could use it yourself. You are our rock, and you have brightened our lives tenfold since you first came to us. Little did we know just how much of an impact you would have on our lives when we first saw you as a baby; but ever since then, I CAN let you know this: our lives have certainly NOT been the same since!
Now, in just 3 more days, you will be ten years old, no longer the little baby I once held in my arms; but a very active ten-year-old boy who just happens to have a devastating disability. How fast you have grown, my Precious Johnathon! You have far outpaced the expectations of many, and you never cease to amaze or astound us! You are a living, breathing little Miracle from God, and you are so full of hope, even when life threatens to bring you down. I wish I were as brave as you, Johnny!
May you have a very happy birthday, Johnathon, and may your Christmas be bright with hope! I love you more than the moon or the stars in the sky, and my love only grows stronger each passing day! Thank you for being my little boy; I am richer and more blessed because of you!
If I had just ONE wish for Christmas or your birthday for you, it would be a cure for all neuromuscualar diseases. You know that is what I always wish; and now that a cure is close at hand, my wish will soon come true . I just wish you were among the children who COULD be cured of muscular dystrophy; I just wish that one morning you would come out of your wheelchair and come running into my arms! What a wonderful thing to think about!! But for the time being, just continue on being my sweet, brave, wonderful Johnny-Boy!!
With MUCH Love, your Loving Maman. (((HUGS))) and XXXX's
This is beautiful, you keep outdoing yourself, may God Bless you and keep you, and may you have a blessed Christmas and a New Year that brings us closer to our Lord and Saviour Jesus Christ!
In Christ's Love
~Michelle~
