After years of endless seductions, Don Juan Casanova thinks he has met the one woman he wants to romance for the rest of his life, but his future is threatened when he becomes the prime suspect in the nightclub murders of his grandfather and younger brother. A judge for 23rd Annual Writer's Digest Self-Published Book Awards says, "We are presented with a contemporary update on an old story told with an interesting spin that gets us to view the original in a new light while helping us to see the world around us in a fresh and interesting way."

 Episode 6

Chapter Four Continued

The house was silent when the hooker walked, barefoot and naked, into the great room. It was cold inside the house, but she’d taken a hot shower, and her skin still glowed from the warmth.

In the kitchen, she stopped and looked at the clock on the wall. It was barely seven, and the early dawn light was already trickling into the room. It didn’t take her long to find his bedroom, where she discovered him facing away from the empty side of the bed—her side.

She went to his wall-length window and stared at the view, but the cold was stealing her warmth and she closed the blinds before she poured herself into his bed like spilled ink.

She wondered why he hadn’t brought her to his bed in the first place. Saving her from Teddy like he had meant only one thing. It was what all men wanted. Why else would he risk his life and spend his time on her? At the club, Teddy had talked about him as if he were some kind of legend out of an adventure movie. To her, he looked like a younger Clint Eastwood with better skin—the Eastwood from Bronco Billy, Sudden Impact or Firefox.

Thinking about Don knocking Teddy down aroused her, and she slid a hand over his right hip, where she discovered the jagged callus of a scar. Later, she’d find the other scars from wounds he’d collected during his combat tours in Vietnam and other faraway, dangerous places.

When she reached her desired destination, she took hold of it and felt it stiffen in the palm of her hand. Once hard, there was a gentle arc to it—like a banana. She’d never had one with that shape before and wondered what it would feel like inside of her.

Still half-asleep, the lusty dream was three-dimensional, and one of his hands felt as if it were touching a real woman’s leg. He didn’t want to wake up. Instead, he kept his eyes closed and explored the length of the leg to a hip and then to a breast and shoulder.

His imagination was working overtime this morning, and he didn’t want to get up, anyway.

He had abstained from sex for six months and often had erotic dreams that woke him in the early morning hours, and, considering who was sleeping at the other end of the house, this time, instead of another cold shower, he decided that he’d play this lusty dream to its end.

All of the sensual sensations that followed blended into a collage of warm, smooth, silky skin. He’d never had fantasy sex like this before. Having a beautiful woman in the house did wonders for the imaginary sex life of a man who had sworn off real women.

But this was too good to be a fantasy. It wasn’t anything like his usual early morning erotica, because, this time, there was the musky scent of sex, a smell that had never played a role in any of his wet dreams before.

Half-awake, sweaty, exhausted and spent, he went back to sleep.
