These are some of the things that I wish for the coming year, the Year 2003:
1.) That ALL terrorists be found, caught, and brought to swift justice; and that the world becomes a safe haven for all its inhabitants. That something like 9-11-01 will NEVER, EVER happen again on our shores!! That wars will stop and that cures for diseases like Ukimwi [AIDS], muscular dystrophy or all neuromuscular diseases, diabetes, cancer, multiple sclerosies (or however it's spelled!), or arthritis are found, so more people don't have to die or suffer needlessly.
2.) The health for my husband, Roberto, and my son, Jubaki; and also for my baby that is currently inside my belly. I pray that little Nasha (or Kibarake, if it's a boy!) is born healthy!
3.) That my own health continues to improve, or get better. Ever since I have been off my medications (due to my being pregnant), my blood pressure, dizzy spells, and breathing have suffered, and my appetite is not so good because I am nauseated a lot of the time (due to my being dizzy). I am still on bed rest, and I am about to go ~CRAZY~!!!!
4.) That I find a job that I can do. It's ~BORING~ being around the house all of the time!! I am so bored I am about to jump out of my skull..that is, if I COULD jump, which I no longer can do!!
5.) That I can get to church. I haven't been to church in a VERY long time!!
6.) That I can get rid of this STOMACH after little Nasha/Kibarake is born; I am as big as TEMBO!! [elephant in Swahili]
7.) That my people..the Il Maasai back in Kenya, where I am from, or Tanzania..have plenty of children or cattle; and that they will be blessed by God (Engai in the Maasai religion). That ALL of Africa be blessed, really; and that the human sufferage will stop!!
8.) That my brother, Keserian, be able to walk again WITHOUT sticks!
9.) That I continue to get along with Miss Louisiana and her family of many children!! (I still can't figure out how she can have time raising her VILLAGE!! And WORKING on top of it!! She must be part SUPERWOMAN or something!! She makes me TIRED!!)
10.) To STOP SMOKING!! I haven't smoked since becoming pregnant, but with my breathing problems (I wear oxygen at times, as my lungs are weakened), it is NOT a good thing to smoke!! I HAVE to quit for my health, and also the health of my husband, Roberto, and my little son, Jubaki, and also for little Nasha/Kibarake!!
Those are my wishes. I can't seem to think straight; I think I've gotten way too much in the way of sleep. My brain must be in a COMA!! If I think of any more, I will add to this list, but not until then!!
