It’s December 16th and the Donald is still in the game. Who would have thunk it? The more he rambles without shame or fear the more those on the low end of the IQ curve love it. It’s that inverse phenom thing that began sweeping America at the turn of the century right before GW Bush got swept into office instead of out the door and into the trash. But then, trends set by those who drink beer, fart loud and long, but love billionaires are often hard to break. (Wine lovers of America, awaken! You have only yourselves to blame).
The odds are still somewhere between WTF? and Hell No! that DJ (my new identifier for Donald) that he will ever set foot on the green green grass of 1600 Pennsylvania Avenue. And so, it’s time to begin looking for greener pastures for him to graze upon than those surrounding said address. Yes, even billionaires need a backup plan.
Well, I have scanned the internet for upwards of 23 seconds in search of other persons, places, or things for DJ to conquer. And here are my candidates. They seem to be in keeping with his modest tastes, his quiet demeanor, and his discerning eye for the sublime to the ridiculous:
Michael Jackson’s Never Land. Who else but DJ would dare to rush in where angels fear to tread? The sellers ask: How do you get to Neverland? “Second star to the right and straight on till morning.” How do you get ‘Neverland’ a buyer? Head east. That seems to me like a match made in heaven. It’s unlikely that DJ could ever master the moon walk on these premises, but hey, nobody ever accused DJ of having twinkle toes.
Dubai Penthouse. This 12,500 SF gem sets atop the 90-story Elite Residence in the Dubai Marina district. It features a swimming pool in the living room. It has five bedroom suites, three reception rooms and a gym, where DJ could do morning laps before squatting in his reception area while pointing his finger and saying “You’re fired!” At $15 million it’s mere chump change for a man of means.
The Palatial Apartments at El Retiro Park, Madrid. Buyers need to obtain an NIE, or Número de Identificación de Extranjero, a tax identification number issued by the National Police in Spain or at Spain’s consulates abroad. That should be duck soup for multi-lingual DJ. If the seller defaults, he or she must pay a penalty twice the amount of the deposit. A 100 percent return on his deposit is even better than Manhattan real estate these days.
Well, that’s enough for now. I’m not on DJ’s payroll, and he would probably cheat me out of my finder’s fee anyhow. And so, I will bid you adieu until another day when the market is looser, and those who think they can outsmart the brightest rich kid south of the Tappan Zee Bridge want to match wits against him. Try it—at your peril.
There's a big difference between success and power, John Carlson. Money corrupts. Money begets power. And power corrupts, absolutely.
Why would anyone want an ego inflated tough talking dictator with all the answers--simpleminded solutions--to very difficult and complex problems be president? Only simpleminded followers who want quick, simple solutions to their personal problems.
Brilliant, Edward ... its a shame to see grown adults still playing dress up like princes and princesses - setting themselves high in the sky like the very stars is the apogee of disconnect from the real world - a perfect place for the self-centered who imagine that they have created something, that something useful orbits them.
A ring of incredible power, a once noble crusade turned sour, and a supernatural storm that could change the heavens forever: J. M. Kelly's Fire of God takes a unique and exciting look at the Old & New Testament, as he chronicles the life of Joseph
