Commitment to Jesus....

Today in one of our scripture postings these words were posted from the Bible...

His words.....

He said to these men, “I’m sending you out

like sheep among wolves. Therefore be as wise

as serpents, yet harmless as doves.

People will hate you just like they hate me. But

don’t be afraid. The Father is watching over you.

He knows when a sparrow falls to the ground,

and you’re more valuable than a sparrow. He

even knows how many hairs are on your head.

Members of your family will want you to be

loyal to them instead of me. If you choose their

approval, you’re not worthy of me. If you follow

me, you’re to take up your cross and bear my

shame.”

If you find a life without me, you’ll lose it, and

if you lose your life because of me, you’ll find it.”

I took this to heart and surely it applies to all followers of Jesus Christ. Many are the persecutions of a follower of Jesus. He said we would suffer, even as He has.

I can remember when I found the Lord in my life. There were people who did not know how to accept my decision. Such things as holy roller, etc. As a young Christian, I grew in God''s teachings and love.

Deciding to follow Jesus was one of the greatest moments in my life. He leads the way and I follow. He gives words of wisdom and understanding in His ways. His Holy Spirit brings to mind wise words to share for His Kingdom.

In Him we are made whole. He is the Way, the Truth and the Life. Praise be His name forevermore.

"But whoever denies Me before men, I will also deny him before My Father who is in heaven.
