Thoughts are like the rain drops,
Falling we know not where,
While tickling our minds with suggestions,
Wondering if we truly care.
Thoughts are like the autumn leaves,
Falling and drifting without purpose,
Still landing we know not where.
They come and go without a trace,
Neither making track nor sound,
Nothing to even indicate,
That they were ever truly around,
Or occupied a single space,
Or moment through silence unfound.
Profound or insignificant as they quietly occur,
A thought?
What is it?
Was it?
Do we really care?
What is real?
Despite thought, is it really there?
Thoughts are like the rain drops,
Falling we know not where,
Tickling our minds with suggestions
To see if we truly care.
Still they come and go undetected,
Neither by sight nor sound,
Like autumn leaves drifting without purpose
Falling quietly to the ground.
Although their path undetected,
Occupies no space in time,
Some will be insignificant,
While others are rated sublime.
Worlds are built upon mere thoughts,
While others are quickly destroyed,
And some are made to totter
Lest thoughts were quickly employed.
Don't underestimate the power of thought,
Or the workings of the mind,
As thoughts can make the difference,
Even changing the cogs
In the wheels of time.
