Recently, I saw a note from someone in Smiley Anders' Advocate Column mentioning San Diego, which brought back my SDSU Master of Social Work Grad School days when we used to take fun night excursion "open border" trips to Tijuana, Mexico.
Some may not be aware that the sauteed lobsters made a little further (or is that farther? - i always forget - lol) south of TJ in Ensenada are even better that those great ones at "Legal Seafoods" in Boston!
The Mexican style lobster that I ate there back in the early 80's had a some delicious "jambalya-like" rich dressing embellishing the mammoth "Ensenada Lobster Thermidor!"
... this also makes me remember doing a fun "Rock Lobster" dance in the mid 80sto the B-52's famous song!

When I was in the Jesuit Volunteer Corps from 1981 - 1982 serving in California, some other members of our community taught me the Rock Lobster dance ... it was so fun doing the part where you slowly and safely fall down ... and then work your way up as the song gets upbeat again.
I just had my esteemed proofer change my "further" to much farther. Not sure that I dig it.
I know why you didn't go into detail about those Tijuana getaways. Once when I had huge lobster in Santa Cruz my cousin told me, "They come from Australia." Dead lobster dance? Glad I missed that one. But I do remember the B-52s… Blonde bombshellers… Something about a shack?
