When Plans Fall Into Place

It was a Saturday afternoon during the Labor Day holiday weekend. Daniel Gennings was at Michael Walker’s house, down in the basement where they were working on composing songs for their 1st CD / album.

While they were busy working on lyrics for a song, Ryan Davies called on Michael’s phone. Excitedly, Ryan said to Michael, “You guys are going to be very pleased to hear that your song “Olivia” was released to the radio station markets just this morning, not just country music radio stations but also the pop music playing radio station markets.

Michael put the speakerphone on so that Daniel could also hear Ryan’s great news. Daniel said, “Sounds great Ryan, did you receive any feedback from anyone so far from the country music or the pop music playing radio stations.

Ryan replied, “From the feedback I have received so far the reaction responses are very positive, especially from the stations in the Philadelphia radio market.

Ryan then said, “So what are you guys working on this holiday weekend”. Michael replied, “We are working on lyrics for our upcoming CD album”.

“That is really wonderful” Ryan responded, “After this great news, you guys will really get your creative juices”.

Both Michael and Daniel said, “Thank you for the great update, we will be listening out for it”.

Not too long afterwards, Michael and daniel heard a joyous shreek of happiness from upstairs, then they could hear Michael’s wife Denise hollering from the top of the basement stairs, saying to them, “Come quickly guys, they are playing your new song on the radio”. So the guys ran quickly up the basement stairs into the kitchen where Denise had the radio on, listening to their song “Olivia” playing.

Denise excitedly said to Michael and Daniel, “It sounds better than it did when we sang it in the studio”.

Michael said to Denise, “Ryan Davies just called a little while ago and basically said that the feedback he was receiving from the radio stations was very positive”.

Daniel responded with, “Yep, it will definitely get our creative juices flowing, come on buddy, let’s get back to work and write a few number #1’s”.

“Right behind you partner”, replied Michael. And with that they headed back down stairs to the basement enthusiastically.
