The New Year Comes Rolling In

It was the beginning days of the New Year, and there was excitement in the air for Michael Walker and Daniel Gennings, for their first full CD album had finally hit the song market and there was a clamor of great interest in the released “Somewhere There Is A Rainbow” and also in the title song of the same title.

Michael and Daniel got together for a meeting with Ryan Davies at his house. Ryan was very excited about the prospects for “Somewhere There Is A Rainbow” and said to Michael and Daniel that they should be ready for a tremendous year, that if all went well that the momentum along should carry them to the top.

Ryan Davies, his mood turned from light hearted to serious when he started talking about the upcoming concert tour schedule. “Your concert tour schedule is going to start off light & slow for the first few months with a concert each month. First off, on Saturday February 23rd you guys will be appearing at the Philadelphia Coliseum in downtown Philly, then you go on the road to Baltimore on Saturday March 16th at the Forum Center, and then out to Pittsburgh at Gold Sox’s Stadium on Saturday April 20th. It will be interesting to see how well you guys are received by the country music fans”.

Michael and Daniel were pleased with the news that Ryan had just told them about, but they also had some concerns as to the details of 

each of the concert dates and venues. Michael spoke up saying, “So are we going to be the only one’s performing”? Ryan Davies responded, “Yes, just you guys, plus Denise and Kim will be the background singers, but it might be a good idea to let them sing some songs too. I want it to be just the four of you, to keep it simple and of course I will be there with you, too”.

Daniel Gennings said to Ryan Davies, “ I guess we better start getting in gear and ready ourselves for those trips”. Ryan responded, Aw, no sweat, it will go relatively smooth, your “Somewhere There Is A Rainbow”  sound track has great selections and your Intro CD track is a knockout, so guys have plenty of material to sing, plus each when you were solo acts have singles that were released. You guys will do well, I expect there will be a great clamoring for more from the two of you”.

The severe storm is approaching outside

And the storminess is about the begin

There’s a storminess brewing on the inside

A storm in which nobody will ever win

Outside the heavy rains are pouring

Inside there is snarling and clenching

Somewhere a storm is ensuing 

And the storm clouds are darkening

The sunlight is no long shining

And there’s no rainbow appearing

I was really hoping that the storm would cease

But the heavy drenching rains just continued on pouring

Finally outside the storminess began to decrease

Thankfully inside the storminess was finally ending

Outside the peacefulness was finally returning

Inside the loving happiness was returning

Somewhere a storm is ending

And the dark clouds are parting

The sunlight is finally shining

And a huge rainbow is appearing
