It was a lovely but coolish Fall Saturday in early November in Ohio. This was the day that Jayson Gannon ties the knot with the beautiful love of his life, the tall, slender, blue eyed blonde Caitlyn McDevit at the Holy Spirit Cathedral in Cincinnati, Ohio.

The nuptials would be a culmination of a long time relationship. Having moved with her family from Louisville, Kentucky to Cincinnati, Ohio in the Spring of 1895. Caitlyn, a baseball fan, had heard that the Cincinnati Knights baseball team were in need of an executive secretary for the team’s front office and was working for the team owner Alexander Hampton. She took and interest and liking to Jayson Gannon who was the team field manager and a living legend from his playing days with the Philadelphia Diamonds, Pittsburgh Gold Sox’s and the home team Cincinnati Knights for which he had become a legend as a team field manager.

When Jayson Gannon was not at the stadium, in the dugout, or out on the baseball field, Caitlyn was always by Jayson’s side, they were always together, wherever either of them went off somewhere, too.

So here they were, standing together in front of the Cathedral Alter, with family and friends sitting in attendance, witnessing two people in love, exchanging vows of matrimony, say their I do’s to one another, then exchanging that first kiss as husband and wife, then preceding down the aisle and as a married couple heading off on the beginning of an adventure of a lifetime, together.
