 “Blessed are the eyes that see what you see. For I [Jesus] tell you that many prophets and kings wanted to see what you see but did not see it, and to hear what you hear but did not hear it.”

Luke 10:23-24

God’s Light helps us to keep a biblical world view even during trying times. It is so easy to stumble and fall when we walk in darkness of any kind. But God generously provides His Divine Light so we can stay upright. We need to pay most attention to what is of God, rather than what is not of Him--that which is of this troubled, godless world--lest we lose our way.

“For God who said, “Let light shine out of darkness,” has shone in our hearts to bring to light the knowledge of the glory of God on the face of [Jesus] Christ.”

2 Corinthians 4:6

In every way, Light helps us navigate our world: physically, mentally, emotionally, and spiritually. We cannot possibly know where we are going without Light, as we may lose direction, become anxious, negative, lost, confused or even despairing.

“The light of the just gives joy, but the lamp of the wicked goes out.”

Proverbs 13:9

God provides light for our feet as we traverse this complex journey we call life. As believing Christians we are Jesus’ ‘Ambassadors of Light’ here on earth. So what does that mean? Well, for starters, it means that we need to strive to bring light into every circumstance. To lovingly shine a light on what is not of God when possible, but with discretion and with great love. If not accepted, we must step away and dust off our feet to carry on. But most of all, our job is to bring Light into a fallen world.

“No one who lights a lamp conceals it with a vessel or sets it under a bed; rather, he places it on a lampstand so that those who enter may see the light.”

Luke 8:16-18

None of us can ever be truly worthy of God’s Love and Light. The Bible tells us that it is a given to be profoundly loved by God—a tremendous privilege. For it is only by His grace (undeserved favor) that we even exist at all. Though we often fall short, and are fully unworthy of God’s love, we must try our best to be worthy of the calling that God has given us—ready to share Jesus with others, and serve Him in all things. We need to bring the Light of Christ in word and deed to those in our midst—even to those who don’t agree with us, our enemies. Bring Light to those we don’t love as we should. It really is all about Light and the Love we have for God and others.

We need to share God’s Light wherever we go…

It is important to put aside all fear and negativity, and try our level best to look for (and you will find) God’s Light, His goodness and silver linings, regardless of whatever is going on around you. Though the purveyors of relativism will tell you there is no right or wrong in this world, and that truth is subjective, a biblical world view shares a different perspective and narrative. Relativism can be very destructive and deceptive. It hides the Light like the proverbial bushel basket. But scripture reveals that both Light and unwavering truth are found only in Our Lord and Savior, Jesus Christ—For He IS our Lord and Savior, the Light of the World.

Through heartfelt prayers and reading scripture, God provides the Light of discernment of truth for His people. For those who seek His face, He exposes, diminishes and scatters darkness wherever it exists, For God IS Light…and all knowing, He always shines a light on what is good and right and true —and also what is not. The simple fact is this: Truth and Light always win out over darkness, sin and evil--lies, destruction, corruption, confusion, and discord. Always!

 “I [Jesus] came into the world as light, so that everyone who believes in me might not remain in darkness.” John 12:46
