Concert At Gold Sox’s Stadium

With the sunrise, it brought a new day for the Keystone Bay quartet and their agent / manager.

It was to be a typical April spring day in the western Pennsylvania city , as usual to be a bit on the cool side.

When everyone got themselves together and all got dressed, Ryan Davies asked everyone where they wanted to go to breakfast.

Daniel Gannings spoke up saying, “How about going to a local owned breakfast restaurant that is really popular with the local folks here in town.

Ryan Davies, listening to Daniel Gennings suggestion, said to Daniel, “When we take the elevator down to the lobby, we can go over to the information desk and inquire about what is the best local restaurant to go to for breakfast” to which Ryan responded, “Great idea buddy”, and they all headed for the elevator to take them down to the lobby.

Once they exited the elevator, Ryan and Daniel headed for the information desk. A young lady who was the concierge was standing near the desk and Ryan spoke to the young lady asking what was a great local place to go for breakfast in town. Pleasantly responding, Mary Kate the concierge replied that the hotel conference center had a great restaurant that served breakfast and was one of the highly rated restaurants in town.

Ryan and Daniel both said great, thanked Mary Kate and everyone in the group headed off in the direction of the restaurant.

After an enjoyable and delicious breakfast the group decided to check out the downtown triangle of Pittsburgh to take in the sights of the city.  While milling around, Ryan took out his cell phone to call the Pittsburgh Gold Sox’s Director Of Events, Wendy Morrison, for when they could arrive for the tour in order to check everything out for their after the game concert in the evening after the baseball game ends.

Ryan Davies was told by Wendy Morrison that they could arrive around 4:30 pm for their tour and she inquired if the group was interested in singing the pre game National Anthem, to which Ryan inquired with everyone and after a short discussion they all agreed to it and Ryan told Wendy that they would be more than happy to sing the National Anthem, because Ryan felt that it would be that much more that their music and singing would reach out that many more potential fans.

After the arrangements were all set, the group decided to do some touring. They then headed off in the van across town to Fort Pitt, where the three rivers, the Ohio, the Allegheny and the Monongahela meet up.

Taking in the scenery at Fort Pitt which had played a major part of the Colonial Era French And Indian War, the group read the historical markers of the site that was originally named Fort Duquesne, before the battle which the British were victorious, renamed and rebuilt the fort.

From there they headed across the Monongahela River to check out the famous Duquesne Incline which overlooks directly the city of Pittsburgh, to their left, viewing the baseball, football stadiums and the basketball and Ice  Hockey arena. They looked to their right to see all of the local universities off in the far distance. 

On their way to Gold Sox’s Stadium, Daniel Gennings cell phone rang, it was Felicia Falsington calling with good news. Felicia told Daniel that their song “You Could Have Just Said No” that it was climbing quickly up the charts and was number 10 on the national country music charts, while “Somewhere There Is A Rainbow” was number 21 on the charts. Daniel said, “I will definitely have to tell Ryan, he will be very elated”.

When Daniel told Ryan about having the numbers 10 and 21 country songs in the nation, Ryan said to the crew. “You guys, put as much energy and enthusiasm into this concert tonight, it’s going to pay off for you guys, if the momentum keeps building we could have 4 or 5 number 1 songs this year, that rarefied territory that has been rarely achieved in the music industry”.

They arrived at Gold Sox’s Stadium and Ryan was allowed through by the stadium security staff and parked the van inside the parking area of the stadium where they could unload their gear.

Having been led through to the stadium club restaurant by Wendy Morrison, they all got something to eat before they were led to their private club seats. Then it came time when they were led by Wendy Morrison down to the field at the home plate area to sing the National Anthem.

It was 6 pm and the time came to sing the National Anthem. Michael, Daniel, Denise and Kim were all pumped upland they sang the anthem with as much energy and enthusiasm that they could muster up and the Pittsburgh fans were totally into the groups musical and singing harmony and it was obvious that the fans were anxiously awaiting the game to finally end and the singing of the concert to begin.

After the Pittsburgh Gold Sox, Cincinnati Knights game ended with the home team squeaking out a 5 to 4 victory, not too long afterward around 9 pm the concert got underway.

The concert got off to a rousing start with the group first playing their number 1 song “Somewhere Their Is A Rainbow”. Then they played their up and coming number 1 “You Could Have Said No”, followed by their previous number 1’s “Olivia” and “Adventure Of A Lifetime”. They then followed up playing all the songs on their CD track from the titled “Somewhere There Is A Rainbow”. Most of the fans who stayed around for the concert were jumping for joy. The quartet were playing and singing their hearts out. Ryan Davies was standing off in the wings, taking it all in and couldn’t help but notice the enthusiasm of the fans.

When the concert finally came to an end around 11 pm, the group were totally drained, but they were very happy with the reaction of the fans to their music playing and singing. Ryan Davies noticed and was making mental notes of the whole evening, especially the standing ovation that they received at the end.

After the concert they were enthusiastically thanked by Wendy Morrison who was ecstatic over the concert. Then the group got their gear together and loaded up the van for the ride back to the convention center hotel.

When they finally made it back to their room around midnight they crashed in exhaustion, but they were very pleased that the concert went so well, for they knew that they had finally arrived in the music world. This was to be only the beginning of their “Magic Carpet Ride”.
