Tweaking The Game Plan

A few days after the concert performance in Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania and the return home, Ryan Davies called a meeting of the group at his home.

Ryan Davies started off congratulating everyone for the great performance that they put on that past Saturday evening.

Ryan Davies began by talking about the rave reviews of their concert performance and how there was talk of them becoming the top singing group of the decade. Daniel Gennings spoke up saying that Felicia Falsington received some feedback from her contacts in the Pittsburgh area and that the town was all abuzz about their performance.

Ryan Davies continuing his discussion with the quartet, started talking about the positive developments and expectations when “You Could Have Just Said No” reaches Number #1, saying that “The music industry is paying close attention to you and your songs. Your CD “Somewhere There Is A Rainbow” is climbing the Country Music CD Album charts and has already reached the top 5”.

Then continuing, Ryan Davies said to Michael Walker and Daniel Gennings, “You guys need to start on your next CD album, and this time you should include Denice and Kim in the song writing process”. Michael Walker spoke up saying, “We have some leftover material from our last CD Album, so that should not be any sort of problem”, then Michael added, “We felt that the material that we left out from our first CD Album is even better”. Ryan replied, “That’s what I was hoping to hear”.

Then Ryan added, “I set up these three concert performances to see how you guys would be received and we have been, even beyond my wildest expectations”.  Continuing, Ryan said, “Now for a little bit of tweaking to the game plan, for the rest of the year I want to concentrate on performing in local community events, the likes of festivals, town celebrations, street fairs, block parties and park settings, plus I have some other ideas, like splitting up you guys your songs  in groups of 2 and having the 2 groups performing in opposite ends of towns, that way you guys will get more public exposure”.

Continuing, Ryan said, “So I am going to start setting up performances throughout the coming Summer and Fall months and maybe next year I will have you guys back out on the road, but in not too distant locales”.

Michael Walker spoke up asking Ryan Davies, “If you are going to try having us perform duets, have you given any thought of being a part of the performances”, to which Ryan replied, “Yes, I have given that some thought and it’s very possible”, Michael looked at Denise and asked her, “Has he discussed this idea with you”, Denise gave Michael an inquisitive look and said, “No, this is the first time that I have heard about all of this, he usually bounces ideas off on me, but this one he’s been keeping to himself”.

Michael then said to Ryan, “OK buddy, what other gems are you going to spring on us”. Ryan, amused with what Michael just said replied. “Yeah, that and plenty more”. Then Ryan said to Michael and Daniel, “Remember the first couple of meetings between us and I said that you guys were going to be the “Dream Team” and with your talents it would be like a “Rocketship” taking off, well, you got it and it’s going to definitely take you places that you never, ever thought of”.

Both Michael and Daniel were left awestruck once again at what Ryan was saying. Michael asked Ryan, “Does that mean Denise and Kim are going to be taking a more active part and instead of us being a vocal duo, we will be a quartet”. Ryan’s reply was, “Frankly, you two are absolutely great and I am not sure that you have given any thought or have noticed but those two gals help to make you guys even better, how tremendous is that”.

Then Ryan dropped a big surprise on them all, “If we are going to divide up into duets and if I am going to have a more active part, I talked to Ashleigh Gannon about joining up and performing duets with us”. All four had a stunned look on their faces, then Daniel said, “That’s great, as long as Alicia Reynolds will not be involved”. Ryan said, “That was discussed and Ashleigh said that Alicia Reynolds doesn’t want to be bothered nor be a part of it, that she just wants to be a solo performer”.

Finishing up the meeting, Ryan said, “OK guys, let’s get cracking, start working on that new CD Album. Be ready, we’re all going to have plenty of work, the “Rocketship” is taking off”.
