This story is uniquely beautiful, and had a happy conclusion.

She stretched like a cat in the pool of hot water. The steam swirled around the room as the bubbles touched her shoulders. She imagined that her lover was with her, for it was a whirlpool tub built for two. She had filled it with fragrant oil, and it felt silky against her skin as the jets propelled water in a churning motion around her body. She glanced at the flickering candles with half closed eyes. It was almost time for her date. She lifted one well-shaped leg and ran her hands down it, barely scraping the flesh with long red fingernails. Her body was aroused...she was receptive to romance.

This was a nightly ritual with Susan, a 39-year-old single mother, working a full time job and trying to fill in as both parents to two rowdy teenage boys. The only unusual thing about her situation was that her date was to take place on an Electronic Bulletin Board. Susan had been alone for almost five years, and the few dates she had gone on, had been disappointing. The men expected her to fall into a full-fledged sexual relationship with them on the first night. Some had even asked her if
they could move in. She suspected that they were looking for free room and board.

Perhaps she was old fashioned, but she wanted romance. She wanted love. In addition, if she could not find the real thing then she would remain alone. Which is exactly what she had decided to do, until she purchased her computer. The computer was meant to assist her in earning some extra money on the side. However, her son introduced her to the Internet. One particular evening as she logged onto a site to play a game, she was paged to come to chat. Having never been in live chat before, she was nervous, but decided to go. A man that called himself Bronze awaited her. They began to chat, and she was surprised to learn that he too was divorced. He was shy, as was she, but he still hoped to find romance. A lone meeting at midnight led to a relationship that had endured for many months.

At first they were just two wo lonely people who had made a connection, and continued to meet at a certain time each evening to chat. They met after her children were in bed, and the house quiet. They found that they shared numerous interests. They began to look forward to their next meeting. They jointly agreed to keep their relationship to cyber time, at least for a while, because it was so special to each of them. Therefore, every evening at eleven o'clock, Bronze and Pastel met online and typed at one another for an hour and a half. It soon became the highlight of their day. One evening about four months into the relationship, as Pastel sit looking at her monitor, Bronze typed; "I love you!" she caught her breath. Was this possible? How did she feel? She did not even know Bronze's real name. However, she did know what he liked, and disliked. She knew what his hobbies were. She knew his physical description, although they had never exchanged photographs. Still, she had never met him. So how could his feelings be true love? A few nights later, Bronze once again surprised Pastel by using action words to embrace and kiss her. "I am sliding my arms around your waist, and drawing you close to my chest. I want to feel your warmth and closeness, " Bronze typed". I slowly lower my lips to yours. This kiss is gentle, exploring, probing. Can you feel it Pastel?"

"Yes..." she admitted, feeling her body stir just as though he had really touched her. She felt flushed, beautiful, sensuous, and desirable...

"I could not get her off my mind," Bronze confessed. "I knew that someday I would have to meet her. Still, I savored what we had at the moment."

"He learned to draw me roses with the keys, and presented them to me online. He was everything I had been searching for, and yet I had never seen him," said Pastel.

"I knew I loved her. It was obvious," Bronze mused. "Although I had never laid eyes upon Pastel, she was my entire life. I wanted to hold her, and make love to her. I felt as though I knew her well. My heart began to soar when I saw her alias on my screen."

"Then one night he asked me to call him, and I was afraid," Pastel smiled sheepishly. "Afraid that he would not like my voice."

"I loved her voice!" he chuckled. "It was wonderful!"

"He sounded different," she frowned. "He had an accent."

Although they still met online each evening, they also began to spend their lunch hour together on the telephone. The intensity of the relationship was growing, and the need to meet one another in person continued to mount. Then the day finally arrived when they decided to meet in real time. It was to be over lunch at a busy restaurant. However, they were both were nervous about it. What if this new love disliked their appearance immediately?

"I knew I loved Bronze for the person that he was inside, but I was afraid he would not like me because I am mousy, and overweight."

"She was very outgoing, and chatted easily. However, I found myself wondering; `What's she REALLY thinking about me, with my receding hairline, and thick glasses?' and I was terrified that she would never speak to me again. For in cyber time I could conceal my defective appearance, where as in real time I was just ordinary."

"The intensity of my feelings frightened me," she admitted. "I didn't recognize Bronze when we met. He was a virtual stranger to me. I could no longer see him as the man I loved. He did not fit the mental picture that I had formed of him. Therefore, I was timid, and unsure of myself throughout the evening. I could not imagine touching him in real time as I had on the computer. If Bronze had attempted to take my hand, I think I would have bolted!"

"It was a strange feeling alright," Bronze grinned. "If I had met Pastel in person first, I most likely would have never taken a second look at her. She was nothing like I had pictured her in my mind."

Even though that first meeting was a shock, Pastel and Bronze could not get over one another. Soon afterward their mental picture was replaced with a real image. The courtship on the computer continued, and their love and passion for one another intensified. A few weeks later, they decided to start meeting on Saturday afternoon.

The meetings continued to be awkward for both of them.

"We still felt like strangers in real time," Pastel confessed. "It was only via the computer that we could loosen up, and discuss our inner most feelings. However, Bronze was patient. He never rushed me, or asked me for something that I could not give him. In time the mental picture merged with the real one.

"I wanted to hug her, and finally one evening while on the computer I mustered up the courage to ask her for a hug in real time. She agreed immediately, almost with relief, saying; `If our feelings are only fantasy, then we won't feel anything, and we'll know the truth.'

"Her statement bothered me. I could not bear the thought of losing her. I knew my feelings were real, and it disturbed me that she was not sure of hers. I decided that the hug was out. I had to be positive that she would feel something when I held her."

"When he finally agreed to give me that hug, he seemed so reluctant. Almost afraid. Nevertheless, as we embraced one another the feeling was wonderful. I smiled, and looked up at him. He was studying my face. I said; `I feel something ... and it's the finest feeling that I have ever experienced!' He smiled down at me, and lowered his lips and touched mine tenderly. I was very happy. I knew that I had found my soul mate, and he really and truly loved me."

If you are seeking romance, consider the experience of those who have found happiness online. There are a lot of lonely people in the world. While using an alias, and typing at another person who cannot see your face or figure, it is easy to express your innermost thoughts. This method is working for lonely people all over the world.

Now back to Pastel and Bronze. Their story is uniquely beautiful, and had a very happy conclusion.

Pastel donned a black satin slip, and pulled her hose over her hips. Dressed in a black frock, with her hair pulled back severely from her face, and her makeup perfectly applied, she slid her small feet into her black pat-n-leather pumps. She smiled broadly as she heard the doorbell ring. Throwing the door open wide, she gasped in joy as Bronze handed her a fat bundle of red roses. She invited him inside, and hurried into the kitchen to find a suitable vase. Once the roses were settled into fresh water, she threw a red and gold multi-colored scarf around her shoulders, and picked up her handbag. However, before she could make her way to the door, Bronze slid his arms around her waist, and drew her up against his chest. Lowering his mouth he tasted the sweet erotic joy of his Pastel. Reaching into his pocket, he drew out a small black velvet box. Flipping it open, he exposed an impressive diamond engagement ring. "What about it?" he asked thickly. "Will you marry me?"

Pastel squealed in delight, and flung her arms around him. How wonderful it was to be in love. Soberly, she allowed him to slip the ring on her finger. "I love you," she murmured. "I will be proud to be your wife!"
