     Literally for mature audiences only.

              7/10/13 6:14 a.m.

Spin    spin    spin    spin

What a state we find we’re in

Topsy turvy, clearly blurry

Burning, freezing, frozen

Take a breath, suck in  air

The only thing that’s free

Mend the tear, comb your hair

Pretend that it’s okay

                            For

One great night, not yet in sight

We’ll all get tucked away

And until then, begin again

Again    again    again    each day

That prayer you always pray.

6:23 a.m. – by djl

P.S. – Yet surely we can come up with one shining thought every day as well.  Here’s mine:

“I would have won the dish strainer stacking contest in 1995, if there were one.”  djl

That was a cute shining thought.

Your poem resonated with a restless night. Sometimes my nights are like, with brushless repetitive dreams. Fortunately, most of my nights are not that way.
