“It’s because when the end-stretch reveals itself and we believe it, finally, we get to step onto the Path of The Answer,” says The Who.
“What answer?” Alice presses The Who, but The Who carries on without her.
“Such a stretch it is! — Such a reach! — The travel! — The journey!”
Alice leans in on The Who, “What Journey??”
But the Who, who’s in The Zone now with the telling, pays no attention to the question even while answering it. “It becomes seeing with eyes closed that enormous vastness stringing out of physical bounds. Everything gets different, neither soft nor loud, a kind of music without notes, the sound,” The Who expounds. “The sensation is beyond thought, no words or any other thing heard, except for the bountiful soundful soundlessness itself in a kind of humm, a conch shell ‘whoosh’ that then becomes like an artist’s brush, the mink-hair tips’ soft touch, or the rough scraping of the coarse canvas, spreading out a new creation of colors never seen exactly like this before, every hue and tint and more, more beautiful than imagination itself. The wonder is the color of no-color and the sound of no-sound, the place of no-place, but It Is Everywhere and it is You,” whispers The who to Alice, close now in her listening.
The Who then becomes a brightness and says, “In this domain, what can be felt is ‘The Nothing', a place beyond ‘The Everything,’ a space of complete ‘Knowing’; and that, Alice of Beautiful Questions, is what answers the question “Why? — Why do we have to die?” says the Who.
You and Odin are in a dimension that is completely foreign to me. But I sense your enthusiasm, your awe, your wonder. Perhaps it is only possible with Alice and the Who, brought almost to this world we call reality with the skill of a magician.
I found that image with its eyes piercing through me like a dead person might, having never seen one, and hopefully never will--dead with eyes open.
I found the description a bit surreal that the Who rendered, but resulting in The Nothing, satisfies me, because that is where I expect I will end up… Nothing.
Biologically, according to the intricate web of life on planet Earth, the death of long-lived entities is required, primarily to provide sustenance and room to grow for coming generations. Unfortunately, thanks to all kinds of efforts to provide continual freshwater, nutritious food, healthcare and exercise… Leading to evermore longer life for each offspring. Crowding is leading death to be performed more often by violence and disease, unfortunately.
What a profound sentence you've created here, the end coming far too soon. "Soundful soundlessness" that which is there for those of us who understand and crave the closed eyes and their horizonless spread of the music without notes. If only more would invite the Who to visit them, or perhaps the right way to say is "allow" the Who to sit beside one of imagination's prescient guardians. Such is the magic everyone carries, but few exercise.

What a Felliniesk-draped series of images you've painted. Loved this one.
Jack Brennan is hired by a group of ultra rich English aristocrats to kidnap four top IRA terrorists. The contract is time limited but do the financial rewards justify the risk?
