Dear readers, in the late 1990s, I was in Buffalo, New York, and was scheduled to preach near the West Virginia and Kentucky lines.
Beloved, I drove an all-night run to Tennessee and took a shower and 15 minutes of sleep, then drove my vehicle to Rural Retreat, Virginia, to meet a family that I was to ride with that would take me to the little country church in Panther, West Virginia.
I remember as I was in prayer during the trip when God showed me an open vision of a woman trying to get into the service and could not get in.
I remember speaking of this vision to the family I was riding with, and I remember it like it was yesterday: how God made himself known that night, fulfilling that vision in that excellent service.
Dear readers, I remember that when we got there, the place was packed because people wanted to meet the truck driver preacher, Guardian Angel. I remember ministering that night on the message, “Is there no balm (leadership) in Gilead?"
At the end of the message, I remember that quite a few people came up for prayer that night when suddenly a woman came in with several big, strong men following her Friends.
What happened next literally blew my ever-loving mind, for you see, beloved, this was the girl in my vision, and the men following her into that meeting had told her that if she came into my service, they were going to whip me and burn the church down.
Well, friends, God the Holy Ghost had other plans, and all I can tell you is that it felt like someone had spit in my hair, and people started falling, and I mean the people standing with me, including the woman entering the church and the men following her with intent to disrupt the service.
Beloved, I can recall the recording cameras, without warning, shut themselves off as God brought reverential fear and order to this place of worship.
Dear Saints, the power of God touched that church, and revival broke out with devil worshipers getting saved; for you see, at the beginning of the revival, I had a box made for everyone to put their prayer requests in, but it was no ordinary box because I had it made with no way to get the prayer requests out for anyone to read them. We were going to burn the box at the end of the revival.
I received word later that on the last night of the revival, one of the devil worshippers had a newborn baby that was born with a congenital disability. She decided to put a request in the box asking God to heal her baby, and let me tell you, Saints, God showed up that night and healed her baby with a congenital disability.
Dear readers, after the revival, she called some of our people, informing them of the miracle and that she had changed God because of the miracle with her newborn baby.
This is why I ask the question today, "Why do people make statements that miracles ceased with the apostles when the word says that (Hebrews 13:8) "Jesus Christ the same yesterday, today and forever?"
To say that God gave a gift for that day and is not needed or in operation today is to make a blasphemous statement that God, who is perfect, gave an imperfect gift.
I know that the word says that in the last days, men would have a form of Godliness and deny the power thereof, but beloved, there is something wrong when the same Holy Ghost that showed up so many times in my services is pushed aside for church forms and controlled services.
Beloved, my bible tells me that “The sinner cannot sit in the congregation of the righteous.” (Psalms 1:5)
Dear readers, something is missing when the devil can sit comfortably in a service with not enough discernment in the leadership to know the difference between the holy and unholy spirits entering their church, and sadly, some of these church leaders vote them into an office position in their church only later to witness a church split.
Beloved, did you know that witch covens have been known to search for churches that appear to prosper for God and send their people in to mix with and join the church?
Beloved, let me tell you that they have studied our forms of worship and come in showing interest, declaring that they are spiritual leaders going out of their way to become friendly with the church people, and some even obtain a license with the church ministry.
After winning, the people, especially the pastor trust, then without warning, begin to sow lies and deception among the members, causing some members to blame the pastor for poor leadership who has no idea of what is happening behind closed doors.
The bottom line is that we must have discernment; the only way to get discernment is to spend time with God in solitude and spend time in his word, for failure to do so will open the door for evil spirits to invade a church body, leaving everyone wondering why everything was going well within the church.
The sad ending of this story is the people became so confused that they voted for the former leadership out and the witches in.
