As you know I'm not interested in biblical prophecies, but decided to watch and see what Cliff Kelly had to say. I was fascinated from the beginning about two things particularly, why he received death threats and why he called Trump "the Antichrist."

Even as a child I recall being leery of evangelists. My grandfather told about a girl he had a "shine" for. He went to the church with a friend for support. But when they saw the congregation start rolling in the aisles, they ran out of the church and he lost his shine for that girl.

But during my teenage years, the family of one of or more of grandpa's sisters worked in the paper mills and illegally consumed lots of fish from the Wisconsin River. I have summed it up to mercury poisoning accounting for them giving all of their money to Oral Roberts. Probably the first televangelist who made big money. I felt sorry for them and always stayed away from evangelicals except Martin Luther King.

But during my college years as an undergraduate where I reached the presidency of an ecumenical college group at UW Stout in Menomonie, Wisconsin, I encountered university theologists who were critical of religion and participated in nonviolent civil rights and protest against the war in Vietnam. Gradually became an atheist and ignoring the biblical prophecies as myths.

When I first saw Donald Trump as a young man dressed to the nines with a silk scarf and flowing blonde hair getting out of a limousine to the cameras of reporters, I knew immediately that he was a spoiled rich kid. But it was watching 10 years of him browbeating good people into sniveling followers and playing favorites in his show, The Apprentice, that turned me against him as a potential candidate for solid waste supervisor, let alone the presidency.

But it was Rush Limbaugh, with all of his complaints about everything, that led my brother and my sister into the cult of the Christian Right. To the point where one time when I told my brother that Rush was a bombastic blowhard, he hung up on me. My twin brother voted for him on the grounds that his resume was impeccable and he was a businessman. Feeling that a businessman could run the country better than any politician. According to all I know about business, Trump is probably one of the worst business people ever in the spotlight in the United States.

I am not surprised when I hear that Christians everywhere are so against our current administration. It's the extreme polarization that Trump fosters in his rallies yelling out insults. And the extreme loyalty that has his followers storming the capital and feeling that it's okay to make death threats to anyone who opposes their viewpoint. And be able to have the weapons readily available to carry it out without question.

I believe essentially Americans are still willing to help one another and talk to one another. I've been told I am living in a naïve, rose-colored world. Maybe so, but when a real threat comes along I believe we will work together to solve the problem instead of arguing over all those manufactured threats that have no basis in fact.

Finally, I thought that Barack Obama was the Antichrist. Whatever happened to that?
